Which waterpark???

Please tell me if you had only one day and had to pick one waterpark, which one and why???

If you like big giant wave pools then definately TL, if you like big giant monster water slides BB. TL also has 2 unique features, one being the Shark tank that you can kinda like snorkel in, and a water slide roller coaster. BB has one of the tallest water slides in the US the "Slush Gusher" I love both of the parks.... but for a first one time experience I would say the Shark tank takes the cake... but something about having icicles everywhere in 90 degree heat in Fl makes me kinda smile whenever I think about it, and I love the big family water slide at BB, when we get all 7 of us in one of the rafts its a hoot!! hope that helps....

Either one is a winner! Get there early if you can they usually close kinda early like 6 pm or so depending on the time of year.

If you are going at Thanksgiving, there will be only one open. This year TL was open at that time and BB was closed. Could be different next year.

I prefer TL over BB because I like the tropical theme, but they are both very nice parks. BB has a great kids area. TL has some smaller slides for little kids, but it doesn't have the pre-teen area that BB has, but Deb is right, you're not going to have a choice of which park to go to at Thanksgiving.

Ok, try not to laugh...it is for next year, yes next year. I am a bit of a planner. We are planning a universal studios trip next June (2010) if Harry Potter is open and will spend a day at one of the Disney Waterparks!!!

I definately recommend Typhoon Lagoon! I used to be a lifeguard at Blizzard Beach and I always heard kids complaining about how they wished they had just been able to do Typhoon for 2 days instead of be at Blizzard... Also looking at your profile picture and guessing the approx. age of your DD, I'd suggest Typhoon. Blizzard has a lot of cement and really hot areas, whereas Typhoon has a lot more shade, trees, sand and just seems better laid out... but that's just my opinion! But yeah, I recommend Typhoon!

I know when I was working there I worked from 8am-8pm... So if I'm remembering right (shouldn't be hard to remember, it was only 2004!) durring the summer the parks are open from 9am - 7pm

We liked TL better. Not sure of all the reasons. I liked swimming with the sharks a lot! The boys liked crushing gusher the best out of all the slides/rides.

You can't go wrong with either. I would say that you have to go with what ever theme you like best. For Thrills I would say BB, if not I would go with TL.

I had to choose one or the other my last trip which was alone with my two teens. I picked Typhoon Lagoon because:

1. WAY more shade, felt tropical, like Gilligan's Island only with more people!
2. Shark tank - fun opportunity to try for free
3. Daughter did NOT want to do the big slide at BB and she knew her brother would intimidate her into it, so I picked TL and there was no problem

We had an awesome day and some great memories.
