Ok its nearly time for me to book our seats in economy. I have to book 9 seats. We will either book 3 rows of 3 or more likely 1 whole row 3-4-2(with a spare seat at the end of a 3).

We are flying sat for 14 nights from Glasgow to Orlando (I am not sure but I think they use the Manchester planes for this route)

Any recommendations of which rows would be great

Try seat guru, but they're all equally made. We prefer to be as near to the front as possible - last on, first off (in economy anyway)

We had the seats infront of the emergency exit and I was nice having no one behind us and be able to move the seat back without feeling guilty.

it depends really...if you want to get off and out as quickly as possible then you need them near to the exit door just behind the downstairs PE.. but you do have to put up with the galley activity. This is fine on the way out but a total pain on the way back overnight.
I also don't like sitting over the wings as its really nice to be able to see down when you're flying and coming in to land etc.
My fav place is the section at the back where the seats are in two's, but there are only 2 of us. I am happy to forfeit getting off the plane late for 9 1/2 hours+ of having nobody to move out of the way to get up..:)

I've just bagged 6 seats in the upstairs bubble! Hopefully the reports that say they let upstairs off first are true ;)

they def didn't on our flight. It was a total free for all. Lots of economy downstairs got off before the PE and Econ upstairs.:confused3 It's really down to the cabin crew but our lot really were not bothered.

I think unless your flight isn't a busy one you won't have much choice at this late stage? I fly a week on Wednesday and there's not much real choice left as far as the "best" seats go.

I managed to back on of the paired seats at the back on the way out and with any luck the spare seat next to me won't be filled at all although I shan't hold my breath! On the way back 14 days later I really just went for the best of what was left, I think it being the overnight flight people want to book their seats early doors so I have an ok seat but certainly not great.

I don't care how long it takes me to get off the plane, you generally end up waiting an age for the luggage to come out anyway so getting off first just means a longer wait at the carousels.

We flew over in the bubble last weekend & we got off before upper class! The captain announced that they would disembark the upper deck & pe. The cabin crew upstairs however made no effort to allow upper class off first so we all just got straight off. There were cabin crew stopping downstairs economy coming off before the upstairs. I must admit I'd have been a little annoyed if I'd been in first class!

depending on which flight you are on and time of year with VA depends how busy the arrivals hall is. We have waited ages in arrivals/immigration and our luggage had been going around the carousel for a long time!

We have sat at the back of the plane (in the two seats) and its taken forever to get off the plane but the have still flown throw immigration and then our bags have come off quickly as well...its all swings and roundabouts really. We do however ALWAYS take our luggage on the monorail at MCO and that saves time.

Our last flight we flew in the bubble and it was great on the way back our seats were at the back on the plane and that was also fine :)
