I searched and came up empty. DH and I are trying to decide which Villas studio to choose for our Thanksgiving trip. We have toured both of these resorts and I am drawn to both of them. DH loves a quiet atmosphere but I love Epcot. We are in our mid 30's and have no kids.

Give me the pros and cons of both, whatcha'll think?

Do what we did!! To have both worlds we split our stay!! I will post reports when we return!!

How about trying to get a villa at the Beach Club Villas? Same dististance (or less) from Epcot as BWV, but quieter.

Hello fellow Atlantan! Please post your trip reports as I'd love to hear them. I'm a bit torn on the idea of splitting/moving. I want to arrive, upack and hide the suitcases and not think about them again until we have to *tearfullykickingscreaming* leave.

Have a wonderful time!

which Christmas decorations would you rather see? I think they put them up right after Thanksgiving don't they?

We toured both resorts over Thanksgiving 2003 and all the decorations were just so beautiful. I'm starting to realize that we win either way and whatever one we choose this trip, we'll try the other next time.

I've ruled out BCV as I spent the first 32 years of my life living in a seaside town in the northeast. I wanted something a little different than a beachside atmosphere.

I'm leaning a bit more toward BWV at this point, because of the location. A good deal will be close by and we'll have our car to drive to MK.

Any other pros and cons are greatly appreciated!

We'll be doing BOTH in 94 days! We stayed in a studio at WL last May and LOVED it. We also visited the Boardwalk and thought it looked fun and we iked the location to MGM and Epcot.

We were at WL for our honeymoon and granted, I was quite romantic and that may influence my opinion, but it was spectacular! The huge wood fire and giant Christmas tree, and even the little trees with pine cones and cute woodsy ornaments were cool. Minnie and Mickey showed up Christmas Eve. I love it; we just bought WLV and I can't wait to be back.

Boardwalk! of course i'm partial to it because i own there :)

you cannot beat the location, walking to epcot for dinner (or drinks!) is great plus there are tons of places to eat at BWV, the Swan or Dolphin, and the Yacht or Beach Club. And let's not forget Jellyrolls!

BWV. You could go visit VWL but it is more convenient to stay at the Boardwalk.

I vote for BWV. It's closest to the parks you want to stay at and at night you won't have to go far for entertainment. I can't wait to be there only 122 more days!!

I will definitely have a trip report!! This is a first for us moving halfway through our stay. I have 4 nights at VWL and 5 nights at BCV. If a good ap rate comes out I am going to add on two nights at the WL. Will definitely have luggage bell services.

In the past it has always been a one night off property then check into the world. . . .

DVC Members pretty much have first dibs on the villas. Disney only owns 5% of them. Members own 95% of them. But any trading that members do out of DVC for Disney Cruise, other non-Disney resorts, etc., open up units for Disney to rent out. VWL is the smalled DVC resort, so Thanksgiving may be tough to get since members can rent at 11 months out. If you want it and can get it now, do it as soon as you can. BWV is much larger and there is probably more availability there.

We own at OKW, VWL and BCV. Those are our favorites. But we're headed to SSR for a second trip this year in June (we were there in Oct). But OKW is our absolute favorite.

BCV would give you a quieter villa, plus closeness to Epcot. But BCV is smaller, too, so go for it quickly. And forget about staying at two resorts. It is not worth it to move and be homeless for a day. Stay put, buy your own DVC points and go back year after year (or every six months or so like we do).
