We have reserved a 2 bedroom villa in late October at the GCV. We requested a DCA park view for our stay. MS indicated that there is a lot of construction going on. Does anyone know if it is better to have a pool or park view durng that time? Thanks!

we have stayed at VGC a number of times and have never been disappointed with the views from our room. Park and pool views are all good.

Hope you have a great time.

The view probably isn't as great as it's going to be but I still enjoyed the park view. Pool view is very nice though too!

Thanks for the insight. I was worried about the noise from the construction but I really want to look at DCA from our balcony.

we just returned last week. Our stay was split as we did some California touring in between. For the first 5 days we had a pool view, 4th floor. Loved the view, very relaxing, could see DL fireworks each night. When we returned to finish up our vacation, we were given a CA :)park view, third floor. Yes, the construction per say was annoying, especially when trying to enjoy morning coffee on the balcony. Those guys start before the park opens, and the construction "scenery" is less than magical. In the evening, the park view was great. DH loved seeing the ferris wheel all night. Noise you ask...not a thing to worry about there. When we closed those balcony doors it was like sealing off a vault!! Didn't hear a thing. If you want the park view badly enough, go for it, you won't be disappointed. I would just be sure to request an upper level floor, definitely nothing lower than the third floor!!

Thank you. We appreciate the information and have decided to stay with our request for a park view. I can't wait to enjoy our first stay at the Grand Villas!!

See that you have made your decision already, but thought I would add an additional comment as well. We just returned on Friday from a stay at the Grand's Villas and we were on the 5th floor with an awesome view of DCA! It was beautiful at night, could see World of Color off to the side and yes there was construction directly below us, but didn't bother us one bit. As the other poster said once you close those doors you didn't hear a thing! Have a Great Trip you will simply fall in love with the Villas we did!

We have not stayed at the GCV yet, but we have a few stays in the past at the Grand Californian. There we found a standard view that had a nice monorail view, actually. And we loved the Downtown Disney view.

Not sure what we will ask for at the GCV. Might go for the pool view at first and give that a try.

Good luck! :)
