which value?

we are doing a split stay in december between a value and CBR.

We have stayed at POP (2010), ASMu (2001) and ASSp (2007,2008)

POP was our least favorite of the 3 and ASSp was our favorite. We were planning on going back to ASSp since we liked it so much but then we started considering POP because we really want to see AoA and we will only be there for 6 nights (really 5 days) so we thought it would be more convenient.

Dont get me wrong....we did like POP....we just like the All Star resorts more. Would you go back to POP just for the convenience of being near AoA. Seeing AoA is one of our top things to do this trip since we know wse wont be going back anytime soon so I was thinking the convenience might be worth it.

Why do u like the All Stars better than Pop? What are the pros and cons of each?

Since ASSp was your favorite I would stay there. It might not be as convenient to AoA but how often and how many days do you really plan on visiting AoA since you are not staying there? Since you will spend more time at your actual resort than AoA, I would pick the resort you enjoyed the most.

DD lives in Orlando so we spent one afternoon walking around AoA, checked out the shop and the lobby and had dessert in the food court. After our cruise, I spent a few days at Pop but never walked across the bridge to re-visit AOA. I think you should stay where you are the most comfortable and then just drive over and visit AoA for a couple of hours. - that would be plenty of time to check out all the buildings and take pics.

ASMu is our favorite, it always seems a little quiter. We haven't stayed at ASports, though.

Why not just stay at AoA?

There are no regular rooms available for our dates. Only suites and at $425/night there is no way....we could stay at wilderness lodge for that instead!

If a LM room becomes available we will stay there but I'm doubting it.

Thanks guys....my mom decided on POP century. I figure that if we decide later and want to change, if there is still availability we will. But I was so shocked to see that basically every hotel has availability Christmas week! While we do enjoy some resorts more than others, we are not a family who HAS to stay at a certain resort or the trip wil be ruined. We are very flexible and have always had a good time at every resort. Even when it was our least favorite, we still had a great time at POP so I think if we stay there we will be fine.

I'm looking forward to walking over to AoA though!

If ASSp is your favorite, I would stay there. If you really want to see AoA, I would just go over 1 afternoon (maybe for lunch or dinner) and tour the resort and then go back to the rest of your day.
