Okay, I'm trying to save money, but we still want to make our 2 or 3 AP trips to WDW. My DH has stayed at WL, BC, YC, BWI, AKL, POR, POFQ. He says he doesn't want to stay at POR or POFQ again, the been there done that mentality. :confused3 But staying Deluxe every time is just not feasible, especially when we do CL once a year. So, here is my question: :earseek:

We are going to start doing split stays with a deluxe and a value. So, to ease my DH into it what would you sugggest? :goodvibes

We have a two and a half year old who will be three and loves all things Disney! :earsgirl: Whatever makes her light up pleases her Daddy!;) So, I was thinking ASMov, although I personally have never stayed there. I have stayed at ASSports several times, but that is it for the values. :flower:

So tell me what you loved about the AS's and POP, and what you think with the above information! :teeth:

Thank you for your sound advice!

I prefer POP over the AS's. I like the theme of the resort and it's new compared to AS's. The bus service is a little more efficient (at least in my experience).

Have you considered CSR? If you are using AP rates then you could get a mod for a great price. CSR has a nice pool area/playground and also has great theming. Plus, it's not a resort that's on your list so it'll be a new and different experience for your DH.

i highly recommend pop to ease your hubby into the land of value resorts... it's still so new, has a great disney feel, is very well run, has nice pool areas, great transport (no sharing buses)... some have referred to pop as a "moderate lite" :flower:

We have stayed at all of the value resorts. The best is movies. The toy story area is neat. I think the set up of the food court is the best there. the have updated the bus area. the lobby is always showing disney movies :earboy2:

I will be at the POP in 2 weeks and I am looking very forward to it. While we are there, we are going to visit as many of the resorts that we can to check out where to stay on future trips. But from what I have heard from a friend of mine that works for WDW, he recommended the POP to me and said that it is one of the best resorts there because of the theming.

we LOVE the POP - but never stayed at any of the other values... I do want to though!

POP was awesome - i'm used to staying at the moderates and thought i'd be disappointed in staying at a value resort but i thought POP was really great. The theme is so cool - there are giant disney characters around (lady and the tramp, roger rabbitt, mogli and baloo) so your dd will think its neat plus the nostalgia of each decade appeals to adults. Also, we drove by the All Stars in our shuttle from the airport and they didn't look as nice. The colors on the buildings were all faded as opposed to the vibrant colors of POP (i'm guessing this is just due to the fact that POP is newer but it makes a difference!) Hope this helped!

I have stayed at ASsports, ASmovies, and Pop and my favorite by far is ASmovies. I had a 3 year old at the time and he loved it. We went to Pop this year when he was 4 and to me the theming is geared more toward my age group (30's). The buses were packed in February at POP. In the future I will definately return to ASmovies or POR.

We love Pop and the transportation has spoiled us, we don't want to share busses with other resorts. I love the theming at Pop it is wonderful and it's a magical resort. The food court was just ok but we loved everything about this resort and didn't want to leave. In fact I'm hoping our upcoming trip to CSR will be just as great.
