Which two parks?

Good morning,
If you had to choose two parks to do in one day, which two would it be? My husband, 12 year old daughter and myself will be on property for four full days in April, but we wanted to visit Sea World on one of those days. We have been to Disney before, but did not go to Epcot on our last visit. Of course, we want to spend a day there this time around. We arrive on Sunday, but thought we would unpack, eat and explore CBR that evening. We then have full days Monday-Thursday and leave Friday morning (that will not be a day we can squeeze any park activity in). We will have 4-day hopper passes. Any help you could provide with itinery would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you :D

My personal favorite in MGM. It is do-able in one day without feeling tired. The shows and rides and all the Disney magic.

Which would be your daughters favorite? We just got back and I knew that we would not be able to see/do everything so I asked the kids which was their "must see" and we made sure we did those things first.

Good luck and have fun.

A trip to Disney is just not Disney (to me) without a visit to the Magic Kingdom so I'd do an EMH at MK and then when it got crowded switch to another park. MGM as the previous poster mentioned is a good choice because it's opened later than AK and has more thrill rides if your family is in to that type of thing. You could do MK from 8-12 and then switch over to MGM from 1 until close. Yould could grab a fast pass for one of the more popular rides and have a leisurely lunch at 50's Prime Time and before you ride your fast pass attraction, get another fast pass so you will always be holding a fast pass as you tour other attractions. You could then finish off your evening watching Fantasmic.

Whatever you decide have a great trip!

That's an easy one--even more so since you said that you want to spend more time at EPCOT. Go to the Animal Kingdom in the morning one day, making sure to hit the safari and other key attractions. Then move over to Disney Studios in the afternoon, and plan on seeing Fantasmic to complete your day.

April is gonna be hectic, so I wouldn't guarantee that you will be able to see and do EVERYTHING that you want at these two parks.

In this case, you may also want to save EPCOT for your last day as you may find it doesn't hold your interest enough for an entire vacation day. If you get bored, you can always "hop" back to one of the other parks to catch something you might have missed.

I agree completely with tjkraz. You should be able to hit all of the highlights at the AK in the morning (Safari, River Rapids, Lion King show, and Dinosaur -- and maybe even "It's Tough to Be a Bug"), so long as you are waiting at the gate when the park opens. Then onto MGM -- with using the fast pass you should be able to see most of the major attractions there, too.

The suggestion to see EPCOT last so you can return to AK or MGM if you wish is a good one BUT AK (and sometimes MGM) closes much earlier than EPCOT, so keep that in mind. Have fun!!!

I agree with everyone else. You should go to AK as early as it opens and do the highlights (Safari, Lion King, Dinosaur, It's Tough to be a Bug, and River Rapids, if you want to get wet), and then head to MGM. You do not want to miss Fantasmic!

I am sure you will love Epcot. I know we do! Be sure to eat at least once in a World Showcase restaurant.

This really is a personalized question depending on everyone's tastes. I know my 17yo would skip AK (& has before) altogether. It's not that he doesn't like it, he actually does, it's just that he's 'been there - done that' & obviously, as most of it is related to animals, one visit to AK was apparently enough for him. My 12yo, on the other hand always makes AK a priority.

If I had to pick two, I would say MGM & depending on the maturity level of your daughter (no insulting here - you know her best) she may opt for MK or EPCOT. If it were just you & your husb. I would say not to miss EPCOT.

But the most ideal way, I think, is as was mentioned before - to park hop. Actually, even with 3, 4 or 5 days there we always do it this way. We start out at one park & move onto the next.
Usually we do MK or AK in the a.m.'s & save EPCOT for late afternoon & throughout the night - ending with Illuminations.
Very often we spend an entire day @ MGM & then end up at MK or EPCOT at night.

Have a great time!

If you are staying on Property!

I agree with the others. Go to Ak..ride safari..FP dinasaur..then do tough to be a bug. You should be able to do all of that in 11/2 hours. Then catch the Lion King and FP anything else like that whirl ride or whatever..then head to MGM. Then finishg with Fantasmic.

This has worked great for us when we have done 3 and 4 day trips. In fact, that is all we have done and everytime (with careful planning) we have been able to do everything we wanted..Plus!

Just mark the must do rides, then find out which ones have fast pass and plan to use that a lot. There is a great website www.wdwig.com that has all of the rides that are open during the EMH and which rides have Fast Pass. Don't forget you can fast pass a ride during the EMH and ride the ones that are open that don't have Fast Pass.

Good Luck with all the planning..it sounds like a fanstatic trip!
