Which TS restaurants have you scratched off your list and why?

We are skipping lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern this year. I am not thrilled with the lunch menu changes.
I am soooooo bummed about their menu changes. This has always been a MUST DO for us now the meal I love ...has become a 35 buck family style meal. We have only been to the dinner ONCE eons ago when it was a character meal. My kids aren't fond of the Thanksgiving type meal they serve so we never go for dinner. HOWEVER...lunch was perfect because there was always things they would eat and I could still get my fave Pilgrims feast. :(

Biergarten. The setting and entertainment are fun and service is generally friendly, and we have sat with fun people, but now we have done it a few times. However the food we just don't find to be particularly good, and now without any more cheese soup the family is ready to throw in the towel on this one
Tried this once many years. Both my boys basically ate nothing. The server literally took their meal charges off our bill and that was not requested by me. LOL They saw that they basically ate bread and butter. It was not a fave of mine either.

Be Our Guest, surprisingly. We had a terrible service experience when we went for dinner, and the food was just okay. So while it was amazing getting to see it, I don't feel the draw to return. We may give it a shot as a QS in the future for breakfast or lunch though.

San Angel inn. We LOVE La Hacienda, but my husband wanted to try eating "in the pyramid", so we gave it a shot...didn't enjoy it.

And another for Rainforest Cafe. I'm not a huge fan of restaurants like this in general, but my kids are. We've found we prefer the menu at T-Rex, and the kids seem to enjoy the dinosaurs more, so no more Rainforest. lol
Have only tried BOG once for lunch when it first opened. I would like to try dinner at least one time but the only times I have seen come available for our trips are the very late ones. I never book ADR's 180 days out...that is probably why.

Hollywood&Vine. The lobster mac&cheese was tasty, but the character interactions were horrible. I'll wait a few visits before I try it again.
I think we have ONLY eaten there once and many years ago.

Via napoli- wasn't impressed at all with the food. I see it usually gets good reviews, maybe we'll try again one day

CRT- was just a bucket list thing to eat there, now that I've done it once I'm good lol. Too expensive and food not really worth the expense. That said everyone should try it once tho!

Garden Grill- we enjoyed our meal just fine, there's just so many other places to eat at Epcot we probably won't repeat anywhere for a long time.

1900 park fare breakfast- wasn't bad, just would chose to try somewhere else rather than repeat

we have taken off character meals just because the kids are bigger and not into the characters.

Le Cellier, I'm just not into the menu.

Tusker House - Mostly because I have not liked the food, but always go so my kids can see the characters. Now that they are old older...scratch! Same with CRT and Akershus.

I went to Citricos once and didnt like what I got. I havent been back, but its not a complete scratch yet. Im sure if I ordered something different, it would be fine.

My #1 One and Done is Trails End (dinner). Absolutely the most disgusting food on property, IMO.

So much hate for Coral Reef... The husband and I loved it, when we went. We got a nice seat right next to the Aquarium, and food was yummy. Oh well, lol

The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is off our list forever, though. We had to wait an hour to be seated (yes, we had a reservation). Then, when we got in, our party was seated separately, and awkwardly. Rushed service, loud as heck, food was OK... and on my particular visit, there was a lot of children running around, acting like escaped zoo animals. Never again! lol

Tutti Italia mediocre service and food only soso

Biergarten you can sit with great people but you can also get really awful table mates. Food isn't good enough to risk it

Le Cellier change of menu removed or changed recipe of our only favourites

I'll never say never, but these are currently not on our list for anytime soon:
Via Napoli--mediocre service and very loud. Plus I am not a pizza fan. . .
LeCellier--good food, but not worth the 2 TS credits for us. Maybe if we ever go without the dining plan.
Akershus--chaos. Maybe this will change when we have grandkids who want to meet the princesses, though.:)

There are several that never made the list for us, but I guess I can't really say they were scratched off then, can I?

Via Napoli- Loved it the first visit. Second visit had horrible, slow service and bland food. We have great Italian restaurants by home, so it'/ not worth it on vacation.

We used to always eat at Le Cellier for lunch when they had their lunch menu. They had some good entrees. My son and I ate there in Oct. it was fine but I miss the old menu.

Trails End is hit or miss. Years ago we really liked it. Then again we used to like a lot of places that aren't as good anymore.

I would go back to any Disney World restaurant. No experience has even made me think "never again."

That said, I found T-Rex to be too loud with a lot of sticky surfaces and the food was meh.

I would also describe the food and/or the experience at Tutto Italia, Crystal Palace, Chefs de France, Restaurant Marrakesh, Mama Melrose, Yak and Yeti, and House of Blues as "forgettable."

Mama Melrose - bad service, food wasn't good either
Liberty Tree - used to be our favorite until they changed the menu
Via Napoli - pizza was watery & the pasta was way too bland

My youngest loves Via Napoli but when it comes down to it...it's just pizza. It is a cheaper TS meal though. Last time we ate there two times and that was just too much.

Hummm. Loaded question!! :rotfl:

Tony's - off the list for now. Enjoyed our 1st 2 times there but we were just there in January and it was our worst meal all week. ZERO ambiance. Server could have cared less if we were satisfied (or not). Mama's and Via Napoli were both 100% better (same trip).

BOG - taking a break. They changed the menu and we were unhappy with what they'd done with it. MAY try a lunch again sometime but we used to love the dinner. They changed the seafood dish and removed the puff pastry part of it "because of guest demand". REALLY? That was the best part of it. They also raised the price of the French Onion soup bowl to like $9. Who pays $9 for a bowl of soup? I can make an entire dutch oven full at home (that's actually BETTER and with real beef broth not veg) for less than $9. The mussels on the app. menu used to say "provencial" style and they were SOOO good and now they say Marseilles-style. Not sure how that differs but the OLD "Provencial" ones were PERFECT and I don't want to gamble on the change for $15.

Hollywood & Vine - stopped going there years ago. Felt like I was at a feed trough when we went for a F! dining package. Definitely not a good value.

Sci-Fi Dine-In - meh food. Odd seating for a family of 3.

Rain Forest - not sure what the big deal is. Food is just so-so.

Coral Reef - we thought the food was actually pretty good but felt the portions were small for the price. DS was looking for more to eat...

San Angel Inn...we were just there in January - DS ordered the steak 'cuz he was hungry (he's not usually a meat eater either) and it was such a disappointment (and it's NOT cheap). Tiny and could barely cut it. So dark we had to use the flashlights on our phones to see the menu. We'll give it a pass for a couple years before we go again.

Liberty Tree Tavern - sadly a big, big pass. Went for lunch in January. Ick. The mac & cheese had obviously been sitting in a pre-filled bowl sitting under a heat lamp for awhile as it was all crusted over on the top. The meats were nasty. I took one bite of the "beef" and had to dispose of it in my napkin. It had the WORST, strangest taste and was super fatty. The pork was just weird. Weird color. Weird texture. Just werid. The turkey was good tho. And the green beans were good. DH had the pasta with shrimp and it was good. IF and when we go back I will not be ordering the feast thing - only pasta there in the future. It was way overpriced IMO.

Biergarten - thought going in that the overall premise of the place was cute but ultimately didn't like the group we were seated with and the food was well, German. Not for us. Been there done that.

So many other places we haven't been to lately but liked at the time. Like Boma. We have always loved Boma. But we kinda stopped doing so many of the buffets because I felt their pricing got out of control on the buffets. We can eat for a lot less off of a regular menu. AND we found it was a pain to go over there just to eat if we weren't staying at AKV. Do miss it tho. Also haven't been to 50's Prime in a couple of years bcuz the last time or two our servers were just so-so - maybe next year. Also haven't been to Les Chefs or Le Cellier lately. We actually HAD a res at Le Cellier & dropped it in order to try HBD. More to try again next year. Finally going back to the Plaza this summer for lunch too - haven't been since they stopped taking reservations all day but found one for July. Want to get back to La Hacienda sometime too.

Now, for places we went to in the past 2 or 3 trips that we DO still like include Ohana. We went LAST summer (despite so-so mixed reviews) and had a delicious meal. Via Napoli. Always get the pizza. The Carciofi pizza is the BEST. Tiffin's. OMG. Our new FAV!!! Yak & Yeti....YUMMMM. Wish they were offering the RoL pkg there instead of Tusker House. Mama Melrose - food was predictably good for the price. Nice to be able to count on it. Ragland Road - fun time / decent food. Turf Club - good service and great meal. Wolfgang Puck Express - usually dependable. Rose & Crown - enjoyed that a lot last summer. It was fun. Trying some new stuff this summer...CRT, Hollywood Brown Derby, Tokyo Dining...gotta keep experimenting!!

Will edit this if more come to mind....:rolleyes1

Raglan Road: Due to reviews here, I was convinced our dislike of the food was attributed to us ordering the wrong thing. I kept trying & made sure we all ordered something different each visit. On our third visit, my DH asked me to please not book this restaurant again. This is a man who will practically eat anything & has never said anything like that before. I had to agree that I shouldn't have booked it the second & third time. The things we do, due to DISboard hype... :rolleyes1 We have Irish Pubs around here that are very good. We had an excellent Thanksgiving meal at one last year, so it isn't the type of food that we don't like. It's that particular restaurant, especially compared to what we have at home (in South Florida). I can see why people who've never seen a show like that would want to go once. I really don't understand the great food reviews though.
