Which tour would you do?

We were trying to figure out whether to do a tour or do the Fantasmic Dessert Package. We are going at the end of December and were thinking about the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour or the Holiday Time Tour. Which one would you suggest and why?

If not a tour, would you choose to do the Fantasmic Dessert Package instead?

We know we only want to do one and we are so torn. On one hand we'd love to try a tour since we have never been on one (never would have known about them without DIS lol) but on the other, I love Fantasmic!! I've only seen it a couple of times and being Christmastime, I am worried it will be so busy that we'll never get to see it without the package thing.

So DIS'ers, what would you do?

Personally, I'd do Fantasmic. The tour was fun and informative but lacked that 'Wow' factor. I've done the dessert twice and would do it again whereas the tour was a one time only thing for me. Plus, the tours take up a fair amount of time and I'd rather be going on rides.

Ooh this is a tough call. Many factors come into play connected with personal preferences, Dland visiting history, and season of proposed visit. Since you are going during the holidays, the F! dessert package may well be the way to go. Holiday season is v crowded (especially weekends and during the weeks of Xmas and New Years) and if you are traveling with small kids or pooped-out adults who cannot stay awake to see the less crowded 10pm F! show, then for sure do the dessert package. That said, if this were my family, we would choose the Walk in Walt footsteps tour which now includes a tour of his private apartment above the firehouse. We've never seen that and would enjoy it v much, (whereas we've seen F! an uncountable number of times.)

I'm pretty sure we are going to do the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour in February. I love learning about Walt Disney and am really anxious to see his apartment.

As far as Fantasmic!, I hope we'll get a chance to see it during that trip, but if we don't, I won't die or anything. It looks neat and all, but DL is magical enough to me without it, tbh.

Yes, we love Disney history as well, which is why we are so torn. lol

Have you seen Fantasmic? It is by far my most favorite show at DL! I've only seen it twice but I absolutely adore it! If you haven't seen it then I recommend trying to find time. It is so magical!

Oh you need to find the time. It's so much fun to watch!! I prefer that over WOC tenfold!
