Which Topic For A 13-15 Page Research Paper For English?

DemonLlama, thanks. We only have to present our side of the issue and as far as narrowing the topic, one person chose race and sports....that's why I figured crime and sports would be fine, but I'll try to narrow it down.

As an English teacher I voted for corruption in college sports because it will be easier to research from an objective standpoint. The question about role models is intriguing but other than getting facts about fallen athletes, what will you research? Don't pick a subject that is so subjective you will be stuck with few facts and a lot of BSing to do.
