Here is our plan: We are arriving on a friday evening, won't have anytime to shop or do anything. On Sat. we will spend at Magic Kingdom, then go have dinner at Chef Mickey, then back on Magic Kingdom for parade and wishes. On Sunday we will do either swimming at resort or shopping in AM then lunch at MGM and spend the afternoon and evening there to watch Fantasmic. Then we leave on Mon, we probably won't have time to do anything in morning except probably swim. So what tickets should we get? HELP!!!!!

Not sure how many are in your group/family or whether or not you think you'll be visiting WDW again any time soon . BUT, in some cases, it can really make sense to buy the longest term ticket you can afford ,with no expiration option, since that often works out to be cheapest on a PER DAY basis. Go to www.allearsnet.com and I think you'll find some helpful comparisions of ticket options. But if this is the only time you think you'll go for the next five or six years, then there is no point tying up your cash with the longer ticket.
I've done a quick trip similar to yours with a 5 day pass but only used two days so my next three days on my next trip will be FREE (yeah, right!).Oh, the mind games we play!!

I am very careful about not "wasting" days by using a park admission when I can't spend much time there. Usually we do not go to a park on arrival day and we don't go on departure day. On those days we have leisurely meals outside the parks, shop, and visit the pools. On your first night, you can head to EPCOT on a resort bus and then hop on the monorail and travel around for free to get a bird's eye view of WDW and check out the monorail hotels while you are at it. That could easily occupy a couple of hours and you don't use a park admission but still feel like you're at Disney!

Your current plan: two days, one park per day (no park hopping)

Minimal ticket: Two day basic for $127. or $64. per day.

7 day non-expiring without hopping: $270. or $39. per day.
7 day non-expiring with hopping: $307. or $44. per day.

10 day non-expiring without hopping: $330. or $33. per day.
10 day non-expiring with hopping: $367. or $37. per day.

On the 7 and 10 day tickets add five visits to water parks or Disney Quest or Pleasure Island (usable on same or different days as each other or as theme park visits) for $48. or $5. apiece. Separate admissions are about $36. for water park, $30. for Disney Quest, $25. for Pleasure Island all clubs one evening, and on most nights $30. for Pleasure Island all clubs 6 consecutive evenings.

If I get this, without the park hopper, can I still go back to Magic Kingdom in the evening the same day I went to Magic Kingdom?

Yes. The park hopping option is only if you want to visit a different park in the same day. You are always free to return to the same park later in the day...just make sure you get your hand stamped on the way out of the park.

Have a great trip!!! :)
