I haven’t bought my tickets yet. Should I get the park hopper or the one park per day? It’s my first visit and I have 3 full days.

I’m staying offsite..

3 days, I'd go with the park hopper. It's so easy to park hop between the 2 parks. You could easily catch World of Color at DCA and then catch the fireworks at Disneyland (if they're at different times).

If it's in the budget to get a hopper and maxpass, that is definitely the best way to go. If you need to choose between a hopper and maxpass, I would always choose maxpass.

Park hoppers.....always ! The flexibility is golden.... things crowded in 1 park, easy to hop to the other. also, dining preferences, rides, etc...… just so easy to pop over to the other park. The gates are very, very close and no extra security to go through. We look at DLR as one big park and always park hop. I would feel "stuck" if I couldn't hop !!

Get the hoppers! WDW vets can't/won't believe how easy it is to park hop at DLR until they see for themselves how close the two parks are to each other -- and how close DTD is to the parks, too! We hop several times each visit, often just for food. It really is that easy. And having a hopper will let you take the most advantage of MP because you'll be able to get a FP for one park while you're still in the other park.
