I am going this September with DW, DD (age 6) and DS (age 2) for 7 nights and again next June '06 for 7 nights at which time my DS will be 3. We like to Hop. May go to 1 water park this time. not sure about next June due to the crowds. Should we buy AP's or 7 day MYW Hoppers. Or buy 1 AP this year for the discounts and possible room discount next trip and buy MYW for everyone else. I am really confused. I even considered buying 10 Day MYW with hop and plus and non exp so that we would use 3 park days + 2 water parks next trip which would make for only a 5 day trip (which may be OK). As you can see I am really confused.

Hi! :wave2:

I'm not in exactly the same boat, but let me tell you what I did. I'm taking a friend's 12-year-old in October for 5 days. At this point, I don't have another trip planned, but I KNOW I'll be going back at some point. So, I'm going to buy myself a 10-day MYW park hopper w/NO expiration so that I can use 5 days now and 5 days later. This makes the cost per day only about $35. My suggestion would be to gather all the prices of the tickets you're interested in and dividing the price by the # of days you'll use. That way, you can see the savings "per day".

Good luck!

If you will actually go to a park for 11 days or more between your 2 trips then I'd get an AP for each of you (except the 2 y/o). The break even point is about 11 days not including any other discounts. When you go on your second trip, just get the 3 y/o a MYW pass at that time. If you're not going to spend a lot of time at a water park, I'd just buy those tickets separately. A PAP break even point is about 14 days....I think. Probably not worth it unless you plan to spend a great deal of time at a water park too. If you're only going to be in the parks for 10 days or less, then I'd get the 10 day MYW tickets with no expiration.

By going to water parks on separate days, you can get as many as 15 days of enjoyment out of a 10 day pass with plusses.

If you can foresee a third trip after September 2006 you might get by with buying one 10 day non-expiring pass now and a second 10 day non-expiring pass halfway through your June 2006 trip if the first pass runs out. The most you could buy before exceeding the cost of an annual pass is one additional 2 day non-hopping pass.

If you will be going to the parks on both the arrival day and the departure day of both September and June trips and spend 7 nights on both trips (total of 16 days), an annual pass is the better bet. Four or more water park (and/or Pleasure Island or Disney Quest) visits and the premium annual pass makes sense.
