Which theme park first?

for me it depends on the day, if it is a sunday we do either sea world or animal kingdom

If we are onsite, we go to whatever park has early EMH for the first day. It's tough if it isn't the MK, but we go there the second day, unless we finish the first park early.

Same here. I planned our whole vacation around the early EMH except the one Saturday which is one of our open days.

I usually avoid MK for our first day and hit one of the other parks first.

I have to laugh at one of the pps because for the last two years we did go to MGM first! LOL! I did that because coming from the West Coast dd has a hard time adjusting to the new time and there are not many rides dd likes at MGM. We can have a leisurely day of shows and character hunting.

We always go MK on our last day!

I like the idea of going to Magic Kingdom first, even if it's just for a couple hours in the morning.

Seeing that castle really starts my trip off right.

First time together we did MGM as it was early opening
Second time was MK because of my dad insisting we went to mickey land
this time epcot as DW wants the kids to experiennce spaceship earth.

We always go to MK first and we get there for the rope drop. MK is also the last park we visit before leaving WDW.

I'll really want to go to MK first on my next trip, but as I'm with my BF who's a first-timer I don't know if I should or not? :confused3

It may take away all the magic for him in the first day, and I'm thinking I may be better taking him to Epcot first to chill out and have a few beers and half get used to the excitement before he gets to experience what I call 'ultimate bliss' :goodvibes

Although I understand the UG reasoning of doing MK last with kids, they also have a touring plans website that will give you a crowd prediction and will suggest more specifically which park to do and on which day depending on the specific dates you are going. I love MK and would love to do that first every time we go, but if that is an EMH day, we avoid it. We plan our parks based on their suggestions for the best and worst parks to go to on each day we are visiting.

we usually visit the park that doesnt have EE or EMH and then we pick between the parks left or go to the only option.
