Which tablet do you own?

Hello everyone,

I'm considering buying a tablet, but there are so many to choose from. I'm leaning toward the Samsung Note 10.1 (2014). Which do you own?

I would really appreciate any opinion you can give. Thanks!

In our house we have: an Ipad (first generation), two Nook tablets, a Google Nexxus tablet, and and a Sony Trio.

iPad Mini
A couple Kindle Fires
Nexus 7

Then a Nook Glowlight
and pretty much every Kindle eInk device ever made. Well, not that $69 one.

somewhere around here is an old iPad - maybe Gen 2? I can't remember. I don't think it has been charged up in over a year. Oh, there's also an old Nook Color floating around the house somewhere. We never used that one much. Too clunky.

I am very happy with my Samsung Galaxy tab 2, 7 inch. I love that it fits into my purse.

That's what I was going to suggest. i don't have one, but my kids do. I'd really like one for myself.

For those of you that no longer use a laptop of PC in favor of a tablet, are you doing personal banking and everything on the tablet?

Is that where you store all of your digital photographs and personal business?

I am looking to replace my PC and considering getting a laptop or possibly a desktop PC and a tablet. I like the idea of having a portable device to goof off on the internet with but I cannot see giving up a full keyboard and big monitor when I am working from home or doing a big project for personal use.

All important pictures are shot with my DSLR and stored on my laptop and external HDD. All my banking and everything else is all done via my Blackberry Z30.

I haven't had a desktop PC in years. The only reason I use my laptop anymore is for our personal finances on Quicken. It would be perfect if I can get Quicken loaded on a tablet!!

If you have Quicken 13 or 14, you can get it on your tablet now. I've got it on my Android phone, and it works well.

I still have my desktop because it has Turbo Tax on it, and I use it to play Diablo III and World of Warcraft.

I'm not rich so it's cheap electronics for me. I have 3 HiSense 7 inch tablets I bought at Walmart. They aren't exactly the fastest, but are pretty darn good for 1/8th the cost of an iPad. $89 each. Does everything I want including the fact that I could buy 3 of them so the kids wouldn't be fighting over a single tablet.

$500 plus is just too expensive for a playtoy to me.

I'm not rich, either, but spending $50 on a tablet because it's cheap and having to replace it in 8 months because it broke (and only had a 3 month warranty or something) is silly. For kids, yeah, I wouldn't spend a lot of money on a tablet. My Galaxy Tab 2 was only $150, but then again I only had to buy for me. I've had it for almost 2 years and it still works like it did the day I bought it.
