So, the last thing on my packing list is a new swimsuit for laying out by the pool. What's your favorite? Bikini, one piece, tankini?

I am packing a swim dress, and a tankini top with boy shorts. :lmao:

I have a brown, teal and gold tankini top with a brown skirted bottom and (DH's fave) a white and black halter neck style with black skirted bottoms.

Can you tell I have big thighs and a booty I'm covering up??
Seroiusly, I'm down to a size 14 or 16 from a 24 so I'm more comfortable in a bathing suit than I have been since or 1st trip in 2002!!

I say it depends on if you're planning on going down the waterslide or to the water parks. If so, a one piece or fuller top and bottoms. If only lying by the pool and getting in just to cool off,not to roughouse and swim...if you got it, flaunt it and wear a bikini. Lord knows I would if I could. :dance3:

Tankini or one piece. I am not heavy , but I have had a child and despite exercise daily the skin will never be what it once was..and no one needs to see me in a bikini

I bought a cute bikini that ties with ribbons on the side. I guess it all depends on body shape and what makes you most comfortable.

1st year after DS was born I did the tankini. In March (year 2) I worked my butt off to get back in that bikini!!
I just let DH do the 'rough house' playing! Mommy just takes it easy by the pool! :rotfl:

But seriously, you see all types at the pools! I mean ALL TYPES! Whatever you're comfortable in.

i normally rokk the bikini at WDW ... i definitely dont have a perfect body but ive lost about 60 lbs in a year and am down to about a size 8. its not like im ever going to see the people i see at WDW again anyways! :cool1:

Tankini tops with bikini or brief bottoms seem to be popular with the late 20s/early 30s crowd, and with a skirted bottom for women a bit older.

And people with all different kinds of body typse wear all kinds of suits. I've [unfortunately] seen some very large women in bikinis, and I've also seen some very petite ones in very concealing suits. You will see all kinds.

Some of these answers are cracking me up :rotfl:

I have lots of bathing suits and usually take 3 or 4 but I tend to wear a bikini the most just b/c I like to have a brown belly :cutie:

But if you're going to a water park I'd recommend a one-piece! ;)

For me if the figure is nice I prefer a bikini. But then this is coming from a male's perspective. :rotfl2:

I am bring all kinds of bathing suits. Just in case. But I prefer 2 piece suit because it's easier if you need to relieve yourself. :rotfl2:

I want to clarify my tankini response...I know I shouldn't let people bother me( esp people i will never see again) but man the people at SAB were BRUTAL on this pooh sized woman in a bikini..I mean flat out nasty and laughing right at her.I had to yell at my DH because he laughed too. Some of the comments I heard said were so mean I would never have thought people could be capable of it.So though I would wear a bikini in my yard, I won't in public pools.BTW, the poor woman left the pool in TEARS...I felt awful for her.

it all depends on what your body type is and what you're comfortable in! I go for a bikini at the moment but I know that will all change in a few years! haha!

...And it probably also depends on how confident you are that you can tie those ribbons in a way that they will absolutely not come untied in the pool. Loose ribbons might magically change a teeny bikini into a birthday suit.:laughing:

I'll be bringing a tankini, shortini, and a skirtini. Got to have coverage after so many kids.
