I know this is an older thread, but I wanted to chip in with my 2 cents. Let me preface this by saying that I have awful feet problems. My ankles are extremely weak and my tendons don't support the ankle bone anymore. They're shot. My arches are very flat, and I have insertional tendonitis in my right arch, and I can feel it coming in my left one. Walking is very painful for me, and buying shoes is a nightmare because I can't wear just any shoe. Also, my feet are very wide, but with the great strapping system of Teva, they work just fine.
Teva Hurricane II -- not the best for all-day walking. That plastic triangle near the toes will rub you raw after a few hours. But they're still
great sandals and I'm thrilled with mine. I paid around $30 for them at Famous Footwear.
Teva Mush -- very very comfy flip flops. This is coming from a woman who HATES flip flops. Still not something I'd wear all day walking though, because there's just not enough support for my bad feet. If you've got good feet, they should be fine. $20 at Famous Footwear.
Teva Pretty Rugged Nylon -- LOVE 'EM!!!

They are a good bit more sturdy than the Hurricane II and, best of all, they have padding under the plastic triangle. I can definitely see myself wearing these all day in the parks, especially if I plan on getting wet. $50 at Gander Mountain.
Teva Pretty Rugged Leather -- JOY!

They are so soft and comfy. The straps have soft material next to the skin and they're nice and cushiony. It could be my imagination, but they don't seem to have as much support as the Nylons, so I'm not going to wear them all day in the parks, but if you have fairly healthy feet, go for it! $
39 at Cabela's. Yep, you read that right -- $39!!! I've seen them on E-bay for $40, so you might want to search around for them.
