Haven't been in over ten years... Used to go all the time, but then kids got older and harder to travel. Going back now with the 2nd generation. Taking our son, Daughter in law, and two grandbabies, ages almost 3 and 6 months. The plan is to take it slow, not push the limits of the littles, and enjoy the little things. This will be my daughter in law's first trip and of course the littles too. We will be celebrating a birthday, an anniversary and first visits! Side note- These boards have really changed in ten years time. They used to be so much busier. What does everyone do now for trip reports? Instagram? Vlogs? Kinda makes me sad... Anyways Here is the plan. DH and I are staying 8 nights and doing 6 park days.... DS and DIL and grands are doing 7 nights and 6 park days. Would love your thoughts:

1/23- DH fly out and check in to Coronado. I booked a late dinner for just the two of us at Toledo. Never eaten there, but I wanted something nice and special. The calm before the storm so to speak. Lol

1/24- This is the day that the kiddos fly in, but they won't get there until later. I figured we would just explore the resort, lounge by the pool, hot tub, etc. Hopefully the weather cooperates. We also need to get our grocery order this day etc. When the kids arrive, I booked a dinner at TRex. I know it is not a popular choice, but the grandson is wildly obsessed with dinosaurs. I figure we will burn some energy around Disney Springs and then head back to the resort and turn in for the evening.

1/25- Epcot. Hoping to hit up the Frozen ride before it goes down for refurb. Definitely want to do Guardians... I think the grandson would love Turtle Talk, Remy etc. We have a Garden Grill reservation for dinner.

1/26- Hollywood Studios. We have a Fantasmic dining package booked. Sci Fi diner for an early dinner. Not my favorite place but it was on my son's must do list. LOL. He remembers from his childhood.

1/27- MK. This is the day that MK closes early. Hoping for low crowds. I figure we will be there at opening. Then I booked an early dinner at Ohana. Back to the resort early for playground/pool etc

1/28- AK, Dinner at Tusker House

1/29- Possible water park day? If weather permits. Hollywood Studios evening, doing anything we missed the first day. Dinner at Woody's Round up Rodeo

1/30- Magic Kingdom- Wrapping up our trip with the nighttime parade and fireworks. Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. I probably would have picked Crystal Palace, but DH loves Liberty Tree and it's kinda been tradition for us to eat there.

1/31- Check out

Would love to hear thoughts from anyone who has traveled with preschoolers recently? It has been awhile for us!

Sounds like you have a good plan and not too much booked. MK on the early closure day is a good choice.

My one thing I mention to people is arrival day for your family, you may wish for it to be an early return to the resort. Some forget to take into consideration what time they will be getting up to catch their flights. We visited earlier this month and were excited to arrive around 10AM but still kept the day quieter as a 10AM arrival came with a 2:30AM wake-up after a fitful (very short) night where a combination of excitement and not wanting to miss alarm meant very little sleep that night. Just something to consider.

Enjoy your trip!!
