I debated with myself about buying gift cards at Sobeys, or even clothes at Costco to cover the threshold spend I had for my BMO card. (Husband had just done our ~monthly costco shop last week, so nothing urgent, plus... the last weekend before Christmas, no thank you on those crowds.)
In the end, we had a "spend and get scene+" at Sobeys, so I put $125 of that grocery shop on my M/C, and the rest on our scene AMEX, and that way I did 2 offers with 1 shop.
I think I could have just done gift cards though, as husband just told me he needs to buy a bunch of small ones today

Shell's monthly "buy 1 litre get 1 AM" and "spend $15 in store get 50 AM" are December 24th. Also looks like 20x the AM online shopping Dec 26 - 31st in case anyone has money left to spend after Christmas lol.

I got random AM's last week that added up to what I expected for this so assume that was it, posted as survey rewards for some reason. Not sure if anyone else got that. Dec 18th. Mine was the total for surveys and online shopping that I did or I just got a random bonus in the exact amount.

what a busy couple of days we've had! Gone from expecting to spend only a few hours with our daughter and her family tomorrow to a full on family gathering. Arthur's family unexpectedly had to put down the last 2 of the house pets so they're able to travel. Just got back from the grocery store and cobbs bakery, made a quick pitstop at Shell and we're done! Presents are wrapped and ready to go tomorrow morning bright and early (yup, you'll spot our stockings in the picture since one of the twins still believes, i filled them up with things from the cupboards and under the bathroom sinks )

Arthur's not celebrating Christmas exactly in his world, his mom in leaning more into her indigenous heritage but hey, gotta give him presents too! Only request he's had is Spiderman pants so I jumped down that rabbit hole a bit too far tshirt is so he can match Gramps

Got the stuff to make sammies for lunch on the 26th, ordering pizza for dinner that night. The big family gathering I'm ordering Swiss chalet to be delivered and picking up pies from longos, ain't no way this Mimi is cooking food she can't eat

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Once again I’m soooooo glad it’s over. As usual there was needless drama. Someone tell me why I pushed my mother to come???

Today I think I’m spending the vast majority of the day in my warm bed with movies on the TV. I would like to get out and buy some wrapping paper for next year but there will still be plenty of that tomorrow. For a brief second I thought about some Boxing Day shopping but then I looked out the window. It’s snowing and we are due for 10+cm today. I have to go out with DH tomorrow anyway.

Yep chilling indoor by the TV today.

I was just thinking about my mom ,,, she's been gone for far too many years and I still miss every Christmas without her.
She did leave me with lots of Christmas traditions though.
Sometimes we just push a bit because we care.
