Which style Tevas for WDW?

There are so many styles! Which is the "ONE" for WDW walking? I recently ordered Crocs but am now rethinking this...I may go with the Tevas. Can anyone give me some expertise on which style Teva is the best for all day walking? TIA :wave2:

I like the ones with a strap instead of the flip-flops. There are many strap versions, and I can't even remember what mine are called. We are all wearing Tevas in my sig picture. They are very comfortable for a WDW vacation.

Teva Mush flip flops and Teva Pretty Rugged Leather Sandals are both comfortable. I also have the Teva Olawahu flip flops and while ok, they are not that comfortable for WDW.

I have three pairs of the MUSH flip-flops I have never worn them to WDW but when we were in Cuba I wore them everyday all day (mind you we were sitting at the beach alot :sunny: )

I took both Crocs and Teva Pretty Rugged Leather sandals for my trip last September. I loved both but probably wore the Tevas the most.

I am trying to find the name of the style, but I have been wearing these for 16 years and also wear them as water shooes at pools and water parks.

They are way better than the water sock/slipper /shoe things at walmart that fall off and get filled with sand in the ocean and in lakes.

They are the origianl style that are nylon with velcro closures that go around the ankle. You can tell they are like the original because the are flat on the bottom, not with a visible arch on the under side. Not liek the rugged looking ones. I will keep looking for a style name.

I HATE crocs and teva flip flops are great (mush) but not for theme parks.

Ok. Go to the teva website (I can't post links) and click on women, then original, then go to the second page and look at the hurricane II. These are $40, but you can find them in other stores too and not pay for shipping. Like EMS or Dicks or the like.

Mine are plain black and not exactly the same model, but very close and I paid $35 last year. But you get the idea.

But don't waste you $$ onthe $70 +. Not worth it for your purposes, if you start hiking or rock climbing regularly...then spring for the big $$.

I just purchased a pair of Teva/s dozer style and I have worn them some. I love them because they are like a cross between a sandal and a tennis shoe. But they are light weight and very comfortable even from the beginning. I am planning on taking both my Tevas and my Crocs.

I wear Teva Pretty Rugged Leather and nylon but I find the leather more comfortable. If its going to rain for sure, then I'll wear the nylon.

They are great for WDW and I don't get blisters anymore.

We will be oing for our first trip in September. I've heard good things about Teva's. Here is a link to the sandal that I bought. http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/3086500/c/325.html

I found this at my local Ross Department store- similar to TJ Maxx and Marshall- for $16.99. I think they are pretty comfy. I wore them today on my dd's zoo field trip, and my feet never bothered me.

Ross also had this shoe- I think it was this style- for $19.99. http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/8987680/c/6.html

Good luck in your search!! My feet are small, and Crocs feel HUGE on my feet, so I needed something else!!

Yep! Whoever posted that link to the Pretty Rugged Leather for around $43 - wow! I paid $75 for mine last year (killed me to spend that on a pair of shoes but it was worth it at the end of the week).

I just bought a pair of these last night off ebay thanks to this thread...I got the nylon ones in the purple hawaii flower straps (I LOVE purple) for our trip. With shipping, it came just under $34!! They are new with tags too. I can't wait to get them.

I could not decide on crocs or something else and these look much better then crocs.

:thumbsup2 Congrats! You got them for a GREAT price! I'm so jealous you got PURPLE! That's my favorite color but I could only find them onsale in green when I bought mine!

You will love them!

Subscribing because I have been wondering which shoes/sandals to by for my trip

I know this is an older thread, but I wanted to chip in with my 2 cents. Let me preface this by saying that I have awful feet problems. My ankles are extremely weak and my tendons don't support the ankle bone anymore. They're shot. My arches are very flat, and I have insertional tendonitis in my right arch, and I can feel it coming in my left one. Walking is very painful for me, and buying shoes is a nightmare because I can't wear just any shoe. Also, my feet are very wide, but with the great strapping system of Teva, they work just fine.

Teva Hurricane II -- not the best for all-day walking. That plastic triangle near the toes will rub you raw after a few hours. But they're still great sandals and I'm thrilled with mine. I paid around $30 for them at Famous Footwear.

Teva Mush -- very very comfy flip flops. This is coming from a woman who HATES flip flops. Still not something I'd wear all day walking though, because there's just not enough support for my bad feet. If you've got good feet, they should be fine. $20 at Famous Footwear.

Teva Pretty Rugged Nylon -- LOVE 'EM!!! They are a good bit more sturdy than the Hurricane II and, best of all, they have padding under the plastic triangle. I can definitely see myself wearing these all day in the parks, especially if I plan on getting wet. $50 at Gander Mountain.

Teva Pretty Rugged Leather -- JOY! :cloud9: They are so soft and comfy. The straps have soft material next to the skin and they're nice and cushiony. It could be my imagination, but they don't seem to have as much support as the Nylons, so I'm not going to wear them all day in the parks, but if you have fairly healthy feet, go for it! $39 at Cabela's. Yep, you read that right -- $39!!! I've seen them on E-bay for $40, so you might want to search around for them.

Hi! I was wondering about sizing. Do they run large, should I buy a size smaller? I've waited to order a pair b/c I've heard they run large. Also, how water friendly are the leather ones? I like the rugged leather pair from pictures but wondered how they'd fair in rain. Thanks!

Going in August, can't wait!

I just bought the Teva Spoiler IV. Anyone have an opinion on this one for all day walking? I've worn them around the house for a few hours and they velt really good but I haven't tested them all day yet (just got them Wednesday).

I normally wear a size 9 and I bought the Pretty Rugged Nylon in size 8 because the 9 was just too long.

However, I bought the Pretty Rugged Leather, Mush, and Hurricane II in 9s. :confused3

As for width, they're adjustable. My feet are really wide and I can wear them, but someone with thin feet could wear them too.
