Which stroller?

Not sure if this is the right board to post this, but here it goes. I have seen strollers that let an older child, mine is 4y/o sit and the back of the stroller. Does anyone know what brand carries these strollers. My 4 y/o doesn't like to sit in a stroller for long and we do not want to bring our double stroller. Any suggestion?

Are you possibly referring to the "Sit and Stand" Stroller make by Baby Trend I think. I was looking into these a few weeks ago. The company has temporarily stopped making the current model and they are very hard to find and quite overpriced on ebay because they are getting difficult to find. I talked to the company and they have a new model coming out in June and I think they may have said they are taking names for a waiting list when they come out. I didn't pay alot of attention to that as I was hoping for this for my MAY trip! Babies R US did carry it but my local store had already sold the demo the week before I called and I was told that no other stores in my state of VA still had them.
I haven't actually used or pushed one to see how easy it pushes. I've heard good and bad reviews, but most have been pretty positive, especially with what was the most recent models. Good luck!

I have a sit-n-stand and I personally hate it. It's hard to steer, much harder than a double, you can barely get to the basket, & it is just as bulky as a double. Instead, I would recommend getting a buggy board that attatches to any regular single stroller. You don't get the sitting option, just standing, but for a child who isn't a big stroller sitter it will do the trick. You can get them either at one step ahead or the right start and I've seen them at babies R Us. And a heck of a lot cheaper.

I was looking for the Sit and Stands as well and as pointed out they stopped making the older model and it costs a lot to get one now. The newer models will not be available for a while and I thought it costs a lot more because it has the option of a second full seat to make it a full double stroller - not just a sit and stand.

The buggy boards appear to have been recalled for safety reasons so that is not an option unless you can get one on E-bay.

We have a similiar problem for our next trip and I have not found a good solution. I saw that A Baby's Best Friend is renting the Sit and Stands for $70 a week but I keep hearing how bulky they are so I hate to rent one and then find out that I hate it. I would rather try it out at the store first.
