I am trying to decide which type of stroller my DS will need for our forthcoming trip, at the moment we use a Jane Slalom - it's too big to travel with and a Quinny Zapp - it doesn't recline!

I have seen a really nice stroller however it only folds flat and is still very wide! Would I be better with an umbrella stroller for the flight and to use on Disney transportation?

Thanks :teeth:

Maclaren for sure.

I had the same problem this year and having spent hours trying to decide, I bought a Jane stroller for around £100. Waste of time. On arrival at the airport I found the wheels had been snapped off!! I then had to carry (being 5 months pregnant) my 14 month old to report it, whilst my husband pushed the cases!

I was given a lost property Maclaren Triumph stroller by Virgin which was great. I didn't worry about it being taken when left, it folded brilliantly on the buses and reclined enough for my daughter to sleep. In fact even though I now have a Bugaboo, Phil and Teds and a Quinny Zapp(what are us women like with pushchairs?!!), it's still the Maclaren that gets used the most!!!

Two words of advice....Tie a distinctive ribbon to the handle which will save you alot of time looking for your stroller amongst sometimes hundreds!!! also DON'T put it in a stroller bag...I'm sure this was the only reason my got broken as they couldn't see what was inside (even though I put FRAGILE stickers on it)...All the others without bags came out fine.

Have a great time.

Slightly off topic, but a couple of you mention the Quinny Zapp. Do you recommend it?

We used a Mamas and Papas Pliko with DD for all our WDW trips and it was great. She is 3.5 years now so doesn't use a pushchair so much. Plus her new 2 month old brother needs it now! We are going to Disneyland Paris in November and i was considering buying a Quinny Zapp for DD to use if necessary. Plus next May when we go to WDW I thought it might be useful for DD to use occassionally, plus for DS (who will be about 10 months) for when we get off the plane. If I take it as hand luggage I wont have to carry the baby through immigration.

Is it worth the money? Any regrets about buying one?
Thanks,
Mandy xxxxxxxxxx :)

I don't know how old your DS is but if he's still a baby then the Zapp isn't very good for his back.

We took our Mothercare 3 wheeler to disney world and it was fab - so easy to push and not that much hassle to fold or anything for the buses. It's bigger than the Jane so I reckon you'll be best off with that rather than buying another stroller.

You'll have more room for DS to recline and nap or just be comfortable and if you're in the parks for long days and staying to watch fireworks etc you'll be glad if he can lie back a bit and sleep in more comfort.

Mrs Minniemouse - I love the Quinny zapp but I don't like the fact it does not recline - it is very handy for popping to the shop! The main reason I bought it is because I have a mini cabrio and it's the only pram I could get to fit in the boot! DS could only use it from 6months onwards and if he does nap in it he looks very uncomfortable.

Thanks guys for all your advice!
