Which Steak at Le Cellier????

Thanks for the photos and recommendations everyone! We have an ADR for Le Cellier in April and this looks great. Right now I'm at the computer and listing to the Epcot Illuminations Music on Live 365 so I'm definitely in the mood!

You honestly can't go wrong with either one, BUT DH and I have gone to LeCellier two years in a row now. Each time, he has gotten the mushroom filet and I have gotten the maple glazed one. I always end up choosing that one because of the cream cheese potatoes, which are heavenly BTW!!! HOWEVER, his steak is ALWAYS better!! That mushroom filet is AMAZING!! I swear I AM going to order it this year. I think we will just need to order the side of the potatoes.

When I was there they were actually serving something else for lunch. Instead of a BBQ filet, the filet at cherry reduction on it. I don't even like cooked fruit things and this was so yummy! I've heard some people complain about it, but personally it was very tasty. I think they only serve it sporadically though, they don't seem to have a schedule.

I eat BBQ sauce on everything just about, so BBQ on mashed potatoes sounds appealing to me. My son on the other hand, LOVES ketchup on just about everything.....I know there's a lot of people like that too!

Anyone been here for lunch? What's the best thing to get on that menu?

WDWBetsy~ OMG thanks for the yummy pictures. I think they convinced me to go for the Mushroom Filet and as others suggestd a side of cream cheese potatoes (we need a yummy smiley ;) ) Start with the pretzel bread and cheese soup....mushroom filetcream cheese potatoes....end with an order of smores....:cloud9: . Not that I'm obsessing or anything or haven't been having Disney Food Dreams:flower3:

I live on Long Island where there are a plethora of fabulous steak houses (Peter Luger voted #1 in America by Food & Wine being only one). Marinated Steaks are big here and let me tell you you haven't lived until you've had a fabulous marinated steak MMMMMM. The flavor is incredible. But Le Cellier's filets all look fab so I've been wanting to go for years but its never worked out. I CAN"T WAIT !!! YEAH!!!

Thanks again everyone.

I am going to try the mushroom filet but sub out the risotto for the mashed potatoes. I love mushrooms but not such a fan of risotto.

I am looking forward to our trip to Le Cellier in April. I have wanted to go for a long time. I was looking at the menu and 2 steaks look really good. Which do you like/love and why? Also what dessert?

Maple BBQ filet or Mushroom Filet????

Maple BBQ!!! tasty comes with Cream cheese mashed pot ....I like the cute moose myself for dessert. But I have to say last time we ordered the creamed spinach and I could have just had that it was soooo good

I am from Long Island too and I thought that the Maple BBQ Filet was as good as anything I've ever had here:lovestruc

Our last two trips, DS got the Maple Filet, I got the Mushroom Filet and we shared both. Best of both worlds! :goodvibes

But we both love the Mushroom Filet with that to die for risotto so much that we are each planning to get our own this trip. May go with the suggestion for the side order of the cream cheese mashed potatos! ;)

What a thread!
I think I might have to go to Le Cellier for lunch and dinner on the same day, as it's impossible to decide which of the 2 steaks to go for!!

I'd love to try the barbeque filet, but I love the mushroom filet SO much that I can't try anything else. It is THAT good. I will convince DH to get the barbeque filet next time so I can try it. ;)

Mushroom Fillet here! I love the risotto and the fillet is very tender.

Anyone recommend the lunch fillet? We're going to lunch and I know they have one with like a garlic demi-glase....anyone like it??

I had the fillet with the garlic demi-glace and it was out of this world good.. I mean like amazing melt in your mouth I never want this meal to end good. And those mashed potatoes...I can't say enough good things about them.

I almost made my LeCellier ressie for lunch instead of dinner just to have that dish again, but I think I am going to go with the maple BBQ one and keep it dinner this trip.

I wonder if its possible for me to get Mushroom Filet and DH to get BBQ and have them put 1/2 portions on each. I don't know if we'd share well on our own ;)

and the vote goes to.....

maple filet (man, those mashed potatoes rock!)
and the chocolate "moose"

I didn't really get the buzz about LeCellier's steaks until I tasted the Mushroom Filet -
