I currently have the 4 day 11/10 Galveston Cruise on the Wonder booked for just myself and my 8 year old daughter. This will be our 9th cruise on DCL and we are excited to see all the changes to the Wonder and see the new Frozen show!!

Here is my question, I have a navigators verandah reserved on deck 5 aft, room 5632. I am seriously considering changing my stateroom. Currently available that interest me are a sideways Inside on Deck 6 forward which would save us $425 and an Oceanview 9A GTY on either deck 5/6/7 that would save us $250.

I have sailed GTY before so that doesn't concern me although I wouldn't want an 'upgrade' that moved me to a lower deck, we had an oceanview on deck 2 once on the Wonder and while I didn't hate it I didn't love it ;) Deck 5 where we are is nice because my dd loves the club/lab and is recently into getting to go there by herself (she did it a few times from our cabin in Alaska this summer on deck 7 and made it fine I was just a nervous wreck lol)

We have NEVER sailed in an inside or an inside sideways and I am really curious about them, especially as we have 2 of these booked for next summer on the Magic in Europe, so this would be a chance to check them out and see what we think when it is the whole family of 6.

THANKS!!

If you select the 9A GTY, you won't be upgraded to a lower deck. The only rooms on lower decks are lower categories than that.

I would go with the inside. 4 nights is a good opportunity to try something new. It will help you decide if it is ok for you. And the savings is quite substantial. Most likely the Wonder will get a Bibbidity Bobbity Boo Boutique (not sure of spelling) and you could invest some of the savings on the room into a makeover for your daughter there...
