HI
I haven't cruised lately on the Wonder and have never done the PC cruise. Looking for help picking out a veranda room for the cruise. Is it better to be on one side of the ship than the other? Aft a good place? Does the Wonder have any rooms that are bigger verandas like the Fantasy and Dream have?
Thanks for any help. Getting excited!

I've asked my TA to quote me for a secret porthole or navigator's veranda if she can snag one. But I'm very interested to see what people think. We've only ever had an inside stateroom, but I feel that the PC is worth splashing out for the views.

We enjoyed a starboard veranda 6590, it seemed perfect. I do not know of any better places to be.

There are a few concierge and HA staterooms that have larger verandahs. The Magic and Wonder don't really have the fully aft staterooms that the DReam and Fantasy do.

We were in secret porthole #5022 this spring for the WBPC. I think this is the best of the SPH’s, as the obstruction is at the bottom of the field of vision, not across the middle.

But truthfully, you’ll be walking all over the ship on Canal day.

I am excited Disney is offering an early Panama Canal cruise in 2019, we were seriously looking at The Caribbean Princess 10 night in January 2018, but I always chicken out on trying another cruise line. The thought of being unhappy for 10 nights and comparing everything to DCL is scary. I know its crazy, but thats what I will do.
Definitely want a verandah for this one, I feel it will be like Alaska and Tracy Arm Day.

Can't wait till Monday AM to book this one and then let the planning and waiting to begin..........

We have done pAnama canal cruise on another line. We had a balcony but didn’t use it while in the canal. You will wAnt to get up to top deck in front of ship as early as possible, try to set up chairs right on railing so you have somewhere to sit ocassionally because it is a long day and just hang out but also take turns to walk around It is fascinating and you need to be up close to really experience everything. Hopefully Disney has a historian who describes the canal and what’s happening throughout the process. Do not miss a minute.

For the most part the view is pretty symmetrical. No big advantage for being on one side of the ship or the other. However, as the previous posters have said, you will primarily want to be topside so you can get the full 360 degree experience.

We are on the Caribbean Princess 10 night in January 2018! I had to cancel the DCL EBPC that left yesterday for health reasons. We are Platinum on both DCL and Princess, and have done the partial crossing on Princess before. It’s a very nice cruise, and you can get off, tender, to see Panama.

Neither side of the ship has any advantage. You have no way of knowing which side of the locks the ship will be traveling through before you actually get there.

My sister loves Princess and has been telling me to try it out.
Please come and tell us all about it when you get back.
Hope you're feeling better :)
