Which Springfield are the Simpson's from?

The biggest consensus is that it's Springfield, Kentucky.

Springfield, Ky has an ocean and a port? A desert within driving distance? An international airport? gets 6 inches of snow? Does Springfield, Ky have a TV station large enough to have affiliates? Homers zip code is 49007. Is that a KY zip code? Are their offshore Oil rigs in Springfield, KY? I don't think KY has 5 cent refunds. I don't think it's KY.

I'm voting almost for sure that it's Springfield, OR. So many references are made to Oregon, where Matt Groening is from, it makes the most sense.

I remember in one episode they planned to blow up Salem, Oregon, with a nuclear bomb. That's my hometown!!!!

Does anyone remember the "Behind the Laughter" episode? At the end the announcer says something about "this family from Springfield, Kentucky".

But they made several different endings to that episode, so you can watch it a couple different times and it could also say something like "this family from Springfield, Missouri".
