I will be at WDW 11/18-11/27 with my 11 and 12 year olds. My mom and aunt will be joining us 11/18-11/20, and neither has ever had anything similar to a real Disney vacation. My mom has not been there for 20 years.

Before my family was joining us, we had seriously considered doing EMM at HS on 11/19, since my kids love TSMM-- figured this plus rope drop at rnrc and tot was a great way to knock out a lot of DHS in a morning.

However now that they're joining us I'm wondering whether doing the Christmas party on 11/18 is a better choice. We have done the party before and enjoyed it. My only concern is that our flight (just me and kids) leaves at 630 am, so long day. Though they won't mind!

My kids would probably be up for doing both options, but I know my mom would be exhausted.

Our other option is that we would go to a Raglan Road for dinner on 11/18, since my fam doesn't have park tickets for that day.

Money isn't a huge issue.

What would you do?

Do both!! ;)

Honestly, I recently did the EMM at DHS and it was awesome. Incredible value for the $$. Rode TSMM over and over again without having to get off. Got my own vehicle for Star Tours. Met Buzz & Woody, Mickey, Minnie and Olaf with NO wait. Breakfast was awesome. Made it to ToT for rope drop and only had ONE other person on my elevator. It was a great experience!

I've never done the Christmas party, but I LOVED the Halloween party and that's unique and special too. So it's a tough call and if you can afford to do both, my answer would be BOTH.

But.. if you can only pick one... I'm inclined to go with EMM at DHS. That might not be around for forever (there were less than 20 families on the list for the morning I attended) and it's a very unique opportunity.

I'd do the Christmas party. If you fly in at 6:30 you could always take it easy that first day and swim and relax and then go to the party. There is something really magical about seeing it snow on main street during the party. Even though it snows all the time where I live and I realize the snow was fake, seeing the snow was one of my most favorite memories of my Christmas trip. The only concern I would have about planning the party on arrival day is depending on where you are flying from whether there could be a delay in flight that would make you miss the party. Based on your flight time I doubt it but it is something to consider.

I would do the christmas party too.

If you need a little rest time and are only going to the party entering at 4 pm I would do a little resting and power napping at Carousel of Progress and Hall of Presidents before the actual party starts at 7.

Do MVMCP, that is a great party!!! Also do the Mountains in Frontierland a few times before getting started on the actual party event stuff!

I love the Christmas party so I would go with that even though I am sure you will be tired.
