Which signature?

My sister and her hubby are going to WDW for their first trip. She wants to know which signature rest. would be best on the dining plan. I have never really looked into them as we have small kids and haven't dared. however, which one would be good for a romantic evening to end a trip with?

We've been to most of the signature dining restaurants. Our favorite is Narcoossee's. Partly because you can see the fireworks from their deck. DH mandates that we must go there on the last night of every trip. Next trip they are closed for a private function on the last night of our trip. So we are going on the second to last night. DH is still complaining about it.

We do not like Narcoosee's. We were there on 12/27, and we found it not very good at all. Before that, we were there in August and found it passable but not so good either.

Of the four signatures we've tried, our favorites are, from best to worst: Citricos, California Grill, Brown Derby, Narcoosee's.

We're trying Flying Fish and Jiko on our upcoming July/August trip, so I can't comment on those.

We absolutely think California Grill is the best signature dining experience. We time our ADR so we can watch Wishes, and it's just the best ever!! The food is very good. We always get some kind of sushi appetizer (we pay OOP for that) to share, we love their sushi. The view of MK is spectacular, and the service is also terrific. That is always our "fancy dinner", and this year we're opening our trip with our 1 year Anniversary dinner there!! As far as other signatures, Artist Point is cozy with terrific food. We really want to go to Jiko, and are going to make that a priority on our next next trip lol.

Narcoosees is super romantic if you like seafood. ZEspecially if you time it to walk out and view Wishes on the beach right after dinner (the pump the music onto the beach i think).

If not my next vote is Jiko hands down!! Amazing wine, beautiful dim romantic atmosphere, animal viewing on the savanna with night vision glasses!

Cali Grill is really good too and great views but the dining room is very loud, not really a romantic atmosphere at all!

I agree with this 100%. Cal Grill has great food and a great view, but it is loud and far from romantic.

For romantic, I would recommend Jiko, Artist Point, Citricos or the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Flying Fish is also a great signature restaurant, but (like Cal Grill) it can get a bit loud.

Narcoossee's gets my vote !!
Surf and turf is awesome. Not sure DS has ever ate anything else there.
It is pretty quiet in there, even though there are kids. I've been there with just DH several times and once with DS too. We are going back this June, it is a must on our trips !!

We have been to FF (love it!), Cali Grill (awesome), Jiko (eh) and Citrico's (amazing!) and the quietest most romantic would be Citrico's

We have done them all several times and overall rating would be: Flying Fish, Citricos and Jiko tied second, Ca Grill (for sushi and view but we hate the noise here), Brown Derby, Artist Point and Yachtsman would tie and last would be Narcoosees.

I'd love to try Jiko.

We're staying at AKL in August and would love to try Jiko, but I don't think I want to give up the 2 TS credits or pay OOP for it.

Maybe someday.

I'd say California Grill! It is one of our absolute favorites and we had a very romantic honeymoon dinner here in July. The food is incredible as are the views for Wishes! This is now a must do on all our trips!

Jiko, hands down wins my vote. I've eaten in every signature restaurant, and it is by far the best in my opinion in terms of the ambience (relaxing, quiet) and food selection/quality.
