Ok so I'm second guessing myself now. We're doing the DDP for 15 nights this Oct/Nov and want to do 3 signature meals: California Grill, Yachtsman Steakhouse (for a 60th birthday celebration for a big steak lover) and another. Originally I was thinking Narcoossee's, but now I'm not so sure. So what do you guys think? It'll be for 3 adults and I'm torn between Flying Fish, Artists Point, Citricos or Narcoossee's.
Thanks for the help.

Citrico's is my favorite with Flying Fish a very close second. My first visit to Artist Point was disappointing but the 2nd time was greatly improved, mainly due to a terrific server named Izzy. Narcoosssee's is ok.

You can't go wrong among Citricos, FF and AP (never been to Narcoossee's, so I can't comment on that). Citricos is my favorite among those three, but they are all quite good.

We love Narcossee's! The atmosphere is very peaceful and the view is lovely. The steak and lobster is amazing and the service is impeccable!

I love Narcoossee's and Citricos. Both were good but if you want a quiter evening I would go with Citricos

I say this all the time, but if your choice comes down to Narcoossee's and Flying Fish and you're a seafood lover book Flying Fish. Narcoossee's is the least impressive seafood restaurant on property although the setting is very pretty.

Citricos is also very good but we've personally been disappointed by their seeming inability to change anything on their menu in the last two years since we've last dined there. A little variety goes a long way, especially at a signature restaurant.

Flying Fish is AWESOME! The others are good too but the food, atmosphere and service at FFis always top notch. This is a must for us every trip.

Thanks for your replies :) We're now thinking it's between FF and Narcoossee's - FF looks awesome and the food sounds AMAZING, but I like the idea of dining at the GF and watchin the fireworks from the verandah. I also love the sound of the surf and turf :cloud9:

Decisons...decisions - just another excuse to go back to try the other :lmao:

Thanks again for your comments! :thumbsup2

Completely agree about Narcoosee's being the least impressive. I love the Flying Fish. I do think the atmosphere and decor at Flying Fish are better also. I love being able to stroll along the boardwalk after. I enjoyed the wines at FF much better also.

I couldn't agree more, on all counts.

Hi and congrats on your upcoming trip! I voted for Narcoossee. We are very excited to try it on our trip. We've done Cali Grill, Artist Point and Victoria and Albert's before, but never Narcoossee. The reason we picked it is because of the ambiance and setting. I like that it is its own little building/pavilion, I like that it has a view of the MK, I like the setting of the GF (think it makes for a romantic evening:lovestruc). Good luck making your decision! :goodvibes:goodvibes

We absolutely loved Narcoossee's. DH and I both had the surf and turf, we are not big lobster fans and had them sub scallops for the lobster and our dinner was great. We also loved the calamari appy. It also helped that our dinner ressies were during Wishes, an absolutely fabulous meal with a wonderful atmosphere. If you do go there and arrange your ressies during wishes-ask if you can sit on the lower level, those sitting on the upper level said they could not see well. Have a wonderful trip!

BTW DH wanted to know if we could cancel all our other ressies and eat here for the rest of our trip. The hostess and I just laughed, obviously DH is one of those "You do the planning and just tell me where to go when we get there!" types.

I love Narcoossee's, it is a must stop on our ADR list every visit. The steaks are melt in your mouth good. I usually get the surf & turf and last time I substituted the tail for scallops and they were great. No complaints about the service and the location is great. :thumbsup2

I'd skip Narcoossee's and eat at Flying Fish instead. Much better food and service.

I'd go with Citricos for the 3rd pick.

Citricos did make one change in the last two years, that I didn't like. They removed the berry gratin from their dessert menu. I'd go to Citricos just for their gateau of crab and berry gratin. I've never been that impressed with any of their entrees though and agree they need to change the menu up some. Their pork loin and short rib were OK. I was not impressed with their steak either (overcooked and tough).

To OP: I'd go with Flying Fish. They are the only Signature restaurant that has an appetizer, entree, and dessert all that I love (tomato/mozzarella salad or mussels for appetizer, scallops with risotto for an entree, and chocolate trio for dessert with a glass of ice wine:cloud9:). Their steak is also very good.

Artist Point would be my second choice, just because there are selections on their menu that you can't get everywhere. We like their mussels or mushroom soup for appetizers and buffalo strip for entrees. They used to have a good berry cobbler, but when we were there in Dec they had changed it up (less berries and much smaller, plus had a yucky amaretto ice cream on it, instead of the usual black raspberry) and we were not impressed with it. None of their other desserts have ever impressed us. Narcoosee is OK and a great deal if you are on the DDP. I have not been impressed with their steak and lobster, so usually have them substitute scallops for the lobster. You get a full order of their scallops, plus the twin filet medallions. I do love their almond cheesecake though. I am not a picky eater, but the one thing I found I did not like at all at Narcoosee was their tomato/mozzarella appetizer. I don't know what that foamy lime green stuff on top of it was, but I didn't like it and sent it back almost untouched.

Best meal we had on our last Disney trip was at Artist Point in the WL. Great service, great wine, quiet ambiance and nice views of the trees and lake from our table.

My wife had the wild salmon, I had the wild boar and both were fantastic! We really like that NW lodge atmosphere though so to each his own.

I voted for Artist Point because that is the only restaurant that we have eaten at on your list. However, I would like to try out Narcoossee's sometime. Good luck with your decision, I don't think you should second guess yourself. You will have a great view of MK and Wishes while there.
