Which side of the Matterhorn?

I like the Fantasyland side better. It seemed much smoother to me! :thumbsup2

I like the Tomorrowland side because it has a little dip for an extra thrill that the Fantasyland side doesn't have.

Neither because that ride gives me a headache. :headache: It is too rough and I don't like bouncing on the hard seats.

I like them both, but I have to agree the Fantasyland side does seem smoother. The tomorrowland side does have that fun little dip and does seem to keep you up higher longer. The tomorrowland side is also neat at night....to see Nemo and SM lit up. I have to agree with what PinkBudgie said though....last week that ride gave me a headache for about 20 minutes after getting off of it each time. I had never experienced that before. I think the bobsleds could stand a refurb, I thought this was on Disney's agenda awhile ago but now I guess it's just the seatbelts? :confused3

i'm glad someone posted this! i knew there were 2 sides to matterhorn and was wondering what the differences were! i hope to try both sides with my DD during our may trip (didn't get a chance to ride it during our last 2 trips).

I like Tommrowland side, because of the dip and I dont mind how bumpy it is. Although I heard from another podcast that its because when they redid the cars they didnt fit on the track the same way also if you ride in the afternoon the oil the grease the tracks with warms up and is slicker so the ride is faster ;)

There's a really neat video on youtube of each side of the matterhorns ride done side by side.

I didn't even bloody know there was a difference until I came here. :confused3

The Tomorrowland side because it is usually shorter. However when we were there that side was closed. Be aware.

Is the tomorrowland side bumpy? I can't remember.

Tomorrowland... without any hesitation...

It's that one dip into the dark that I just absolutely cannot live without...

I seriously can't ride with anyone in front of me. Last time I had my sister between my legs, my right leg cramped up. Never again! haha

I want to make sure I get this right since I'll be there next SUNDAY!!!!
So there's also two lines, one closer to Fantasyland and one closer to Tomorrowland, right? Are either of the lines typically longer than the other?

Somehow I always find the tomorrowland side to be shorter. At least whenever I go. haha

The CMs are used to guest asking for one person per seat. This can be religious taboos, moral objections, big people, stiff legs, and other reasons. They easily adjust as a party of 4 with two sitting apart means 3 seats just as if a party of 5 had been there. I have done that since before my dad died way back in the 1990's
