Ok. Looking at the various vidoes from DCL website, I am a bit confused. In some shots, when the boat is docked at CC, it is facing inwards, in others, outwards. Which way is right?? Which side of the boat has the best views at port? I will be in room 8056 on 9/15 and was wondering if I should request the other side??

The way the ship goes in depends on the weather..so you never know.

We always have port side and love it...we get to watch the unloading dance at the dock when we arrive..it is very cool. Just like a ballet of forklifts and golf carts.

They backed the ship in both times we were at CC. I believe they always plan to back the ship, but it depends upon conditions at the time they dock.

Our first cruise our cabin faced the beaches at CC, and it was great when we got up they had just arrived and we watched as they spun the ship and back it in. Great view of the island.

On our second cruise we booked a cabin on the other side of the ship. Had great views at Key West for the sunset, and great views of Grand Caymen (you tender to shore, so I assume all cabins had a great view) and Cozumel. At CC not the greatest view, but we were more interested in getting onto the island and making the most of it. You can watch the CM's w/ big Mickey hands wave good buy from the dock as the ship leaves CC from your cabin.

the ship backed in for us too! I can't even remember our view I was too excited for getting out there to that beach!
