which side of space mountain do you prefer? left or right?

that is, when you are in line, you get to a spot where you can join a line to the right or to the left...

we much prefer the ride on the left side....better drops and more airtime...
on the right, there didn't seem to be any good drops....

so now we always turn left at that fork....

The left, the left, a thousand times the left!

I was so happy on an E-ride night last year that they had both sides open, even though the crowds were on-exsitent. The CM was laughing at me, but I like to think it was a good natured laugh.

I like the left side. But if the right side is shorter, I'll go right.

Right. Always go right. I know the twists and turns of the right side by heart and LOVE it.

Most definitely left!!

How interesting... I started the same post on the Teen Boards a couple of days ago!!

DHSsenior007 -- and what was the response? was there a preference...
so far here, i would say the lefties definitely have it....

Joyciemc - same with us....we were worried they would only have the right side open on eride night....and we really don't like the right side at all....

Here is the funny thing. They are exactly identical!. The only difference is that they are flipped 180 degrees from each other. I believe it is the right side is 10' longer due to the way that it is turned.

I swear the left side is faster. ;) Therefore I love the left!::yes::

I don't know why but I prefer the left. It is one of the few roller coasters that I will go on anymore.

IIRC they are single-line rides (1 person per row). However, on MK's latest DVD (which looks like shiitake mushroom, btw), they show twin-line rides (2 people per row sitting side-by-side, obviously).

Which is it, one-seater or two-seater?

and........add me to the left side group.
just prefer it, unless the right side has less in line.

Gotta say left side is best! If they are identicasl then my right side feels jerking a lot more than my left does!:hyper:

at DL, you sit side by side, and at WDW you sit inline, 6 people with their own individual seat.

Either side- just do this:

Close your eyes (and keep em closed) them put your hands behind your head (I am not comfortable raising my hands into the air, and this allows the 'not gonna hold on' feeling

I knew it! That new MK DVD is not only looks bad, but also misrepresenting its own park! :teeth:

From what I remember ont he travel channel during that ultimate walt disney world vacation, they say that the space mountain ride is much more slower than how people percieve it to be. All about special effects. lol

well if they are identical, then something has happened to one of the tracks, as the left side has much better dips...in fact, the right side barely has any air time at all...
but they can't be identical....the two of them start out differently as well....
i've ridden both of them at least 200 times, probably more....they are not the same...not at all...

I've been told many times that the two sides are alike, but I don't believe it!:D We like the left way better.

There certainly do seem to be more dips on the left side. If they're identical, something's off balance in my head. But that's ok, whatever it is, I enjoy it!
