We may want to watch the Cinematic Spectacular one of our evenings at Universal. I am reading differing reports on which side of the lagoon has the best view. I know I don't have to "camp out" for a spot like I would with WDW night entertainment.

Does it show during Mardi Gras season -- weekend in March when they have a concert and the parade? What time does it usually show when the park closes at 10?

Either side of the lagoon is fine for the lagoon stuff (screens, lasers etc) but IMO the better side to see the fireworks would be on the "left" side of the lagoon. The fireworks go off to the right of the park so you would be in better view of them on the left side of the lagoon.

That being said, the fireworks aren't anything super spectacular as compared to Disney.

There is a link to click on here that will give you times of the show.

There isn't really a bad place to see the show around the lagoon as they have screens around the lagoon in different positions.

We either stand down by the water adjacent to Moe's Tavern or alternatively near Mel's Diner.

You're correct, you don't need to stake a place out early :thumbsup2

I'm not seeing the link to click when I'm on that page to see specific times?

Define "left" and right"? Should I be standing on the Harry Potter side or the Springfield side to see some of the fireworks?

Thanks,

By "Left" and "Right" I mean the side of the lagoon if you were to be walking from park entrance towards the lagoon. The opposide side of Springfield and you'd be facing Springfield looking over the lagoon.

The fireworks go off I'd say above the back of the park say in between MIB and The Simpson's ride.

Otherwise from the Springfield side of the lagoon you'd be turning to the right or turning around to see the fireworks.
