Which side is best

i can't beleive that anyone would even think about putting pb on the right side, you would think some people were raised in a barn.
Humpf! I was taught in Finishing School that the proper way to do it is to put the peanut butter on the right. That way you can use the left side to slide your knife over, removing the remaining peanut butter, before adding the jelly. "Slide your right hand on the right side, and put the jelly on what's left," is the way we were taught to remember it.

My word - Peanut Butter on the LEFT. I honestly don't know WHAT this world is coming to.

Weellllll I don't know where you went to finishing school, but that is not the right way. Put the PB on the left and keep your pinkies up. :thumbsup2

Come to think of it...peanut butter is really best on the upper right outside corner and lower left outside corner...

I used to eat peanutbutter and butter sandwiches! I can't bring myself to try them again as an adult.

That's good on toast!

On the driest side of the bread then when you put it together the soft side is out and your kids never know you didn't get new bread like you said or that someone left the bag open.

This exact same topic caused a war in one of Dr. Suess's books! The Great Butter Battle. Really cute book- check it out:

You didn't mention if it was creamy or crunchy peanut butter......it makes a difference, trust me.

Ah, yes, but only for the kiddies...adults always get the squishy white bread and then you've gotta put the peanut butter on the squishier side. :thumbsup2

Oh, brother does it ever!!! Gotta be the smooth....creamy kind for that good squishy bread!!

And while I'm thinking about it...gotta be grape jam instead of grape jelly...the jam just spreads better! :thumbsup2

Au contraire....one must always use TWO knives (sterling of course). Nay, nay, plunketh the peanut butter knife into the Polaner jar, not even one that is swiped on the left!
