Which should we choose?

which do you recommend for a first night for a not-too-picky, nor anxious-to-get-biggest-bang-for-dining-credit family?

our plan is to visit either the Boardwalk or DTD area for a few hours our first evening in "the world!"

we always go for something with a lot of energy and a great atmosphere to be in to kick start the vacation. This year we are doing Hoop Dee Doo Revue. Last year we did Chef Mickey's.

thanks... we've been to CM and HDDR our last two trips and are trying to not do any "repeats" this time around!

I am interested in trying Raglan Road myself although the reviews have been mixed...

Spoodles is good and we have always had good meals there.. it can get a bit noisey, but good family place.

Also, we like eating at the Yacht Club Galley, just decent food for the price.

I love the Boardwalk for a first night, something to eat and watch the fireworks from the boardwalk afterwards.

My vote would be for the House of Blues at DTD. If you've already done that one, then I would say Spoodles. Another option is the ESPN Club.

Easy one for me .. Spoodles!

The four cheese flatbread is like heaven on a plate! We often go there our first night. When I bite into the cheesy goodness, I know I'm at WDW.

I chose Spoodle's because it is a good old reliable. But I usually spend my first meal sitting outside on the Boardwalk at Big River Grille. I enjoy the food and of course the beers, and I just love sitting out on the Boardwalk. It really feels like vacation to me.

I voted for Spoodles, but DTD can be fun too! I have never eaten (yet) at Ragland Road, but the DTD experience is fun.
If you go to Spoodles, I'd stop off at the Big River for a micro brew!

I voted for other because I think Beaches n Cream at Beach Club is a good idea. It's counter service so you won't use a TS credit. I don't care for any of the TS at Downtown Disney.

SPOODLES it is!! the cm on the phone even told me how great the sangria is!

oh, and i was able to score a 6pm ressie in less than 3 weeks!
