Which should I cancel?

I have my ADRS made and a decision to make. I have one more TS reserved than is covered and I don't know if I should cancel one or pay OOP. We are on a budget so I am leaning towards cancelling one. If you had to cancel one of the following, which would it be?

Boma breakfast (we are staying at AKL)
Crystal Palace dinner
Tusker House Safari Character breakfast
Teppan Edo dinner
LE Cellier lunch
Hollywood and Vine FAntasmic Dinner PAckage
Spirit of Aloha (2 TS credits)

Tough decision. I think it depends how many people are in your party and if there are people who are interested in seeing characters.

Boma breakfast (we are staying at AKL) I ate here before and it was really good. OOP for adult:16.99 child (3-9) $9.99. There are not any characters, and you have to travel to AK Lodge, so I guess if you really want to see characters and save travelling time, this could probably be skipped.
Crystal Palace dinner This is really cute with the characters and buffet, probably wouldn;t cancel if everyone wanted to see the Winnie the Pooh characters
Tusker House Safari Character breakfast
Teppan Edo dinner
LE Cellier lunchDon't cancel this one, this is my fav!
Hollywood and Vine FAntasmic Dinner PAckage I did this before, the seats are really good and you don't have to worry about getting a spot super early.
Spirit of Aloha (2 TS credits)This seems like a really good experience, I probably wouldn' cancel

I think for you it, prob would be best to either cancel a breakfast or pay OOP for the breakfast since that would probably be cheaper than paying OOP for dinner. Have a blast, eat lots of good food for me!

Knowing your situation from prior posts, I would cancel the Spirit of Aloha. It's on your last night, and as you pointed out previously if it's canceled due to weather you have no way to use those last credits before you leave.

Though I'd replace Spirit with Jiko and pay OOP for Boma at breakfast.

i would cancel le cellier and go to B&C and pay OOP

I would also cancel the luau for the reasons already mentioned and replace it with a nice signature, if you are AKL, Jiko would be a great choice

It's Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club, which is a short walk through the International Gateway at Epcot. They have delicious burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, onion rings, ice cream and of course the Kitchen Sink!!

If you cannot cancel SoA then I'd choose just one of the Epcot meals.

I would probably cancel TE as LeCellier is so popular(not one that appeals to me) and having a TS lunch break was wonderful for us.

The CS choices, especially in the World Showcase are so vast that you'll be able to get some really good CS meals for dinner.

If you are able to cancel SoA then you get to book a second meal. I'd actually suggest getting a dinner ressie at Boma too; especially since you are staying at AKL. After Narcoossee's Boma was our favorite TS meal at WDW.

I'd definitely cancel Hollywood & Vine!

Though not noted in this post, OP's group includes kids and I believe a 70yo Mom, probably the poster family for reserved seating at Fantasmic, so this one is probably a keeper. :confused3

We had this pkg in summer 2007 and found dinner just fine, service really good and the reserved seating a nice perk.

You are correct, the OP has a Fantasmic Dinner package and if memory serves me correctly it's the only showing while they're down there so canceling that is not possible as far as they are concerned.

Not being big big breakfast eaters, Boma for breakfast doesn't sound like a bad one to cancel. But, early in the trip it may be a relaxing way to start a day.

I think the luau would be super fun. But, the last day of a trip, it would concern me if it got cancelled. Maybe make a back up ressie for dinner that night just in case of that, like Jiko or somewhere in Epcot.

That's tough. We have kids and therefore those character meals are pretty much a "must-do" for us, so perhaps you're in the same boat. As far as the non-character ones, I'd keep Boma since you're staying at AKL (not to mention it's an awesome meal....). I'd keep Teppan Edo (awesome food + awesome experience). LeCellier = great mushroom filet mignon, keep it. Someone mentioned you'd want the seats for Fantasmic so H&Vine is a keeper, though we don't care for the food there....How about cancelling Spirit of Aloha and replacing it with a 1-credit restaurant and then you wouldn't have to cancel anything listed above? If you have your heart set on SOA, then I'd consider cancelling H&V and just arriving to Fantasmic early to get some good seats.

From what I've read, the breakfasts at Boma and Tusker House are similar. I'd cancel either one of those. My kids weren't too impressed by Boma. I'm sure they would have rather had breakfast with Donald at TH.

I would also see if you could get a Fantasmic Package at Mama Melrose. I haven't seen too many positive reviews about H&V.

Can you move the SoA to a different night so in case it's canceled, you won't have any extra TS?

What I WOULD NOT cancel is Tusker House for Breakfast :)

If you REALLY want the fantasmic special seating then I would cancel Crystal Palace. Otherwise I would cancel Hollywood & Vine

My understanding is the package is not granting you the "backdoor" access anymore. You go in with everyone else and then they direct you to the right to your seats. So not sure the package is even worth it anymore.

It does not grant you back door access, but there is a separate podium that you check in at and you avoid waiting in line. You walk up the path and have guaranteed seats. Since Fantasmic is only being shown this night during the OP's trip, they've stated in several other posts that this reserved seating is very important to them.

The food at Hollywood and Vine is just ok. We did Mama Melrose for Fantasmic -- maybe an option. To me the most bang for the buck is always dinner so I would probably cancel one of the breakfasts. I would NOT cancel Le Cellier as the food is awesome!
