Which shopping outlet is for me?

Hi folks. :wave2:
Can anyone offer any advice on which is the best shopping outlet for my requirements, as I shall probably only be allowed one shopping day and want to get it right! I’m not into sportswear or designer labels but would like some bargains. An American version of Next would be ideal, along with shoe shops, discount cosmetics (Estee Lauder, Clarins?), perhaps kids clothes too and giftware. On our last visit two years ago, we went to the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores but I was rather disappointed.
I would be interested in anyone’s comments.

From your requirements, id say Premium Outlets Mall would suit you best. Its got a good mix of shops, and has pleasant surroundings and good parking. It has good prices, and its also in a good location. The only thing I dont like myself there is that it has outdoor corridoors (ie its not a completely indoor mall), and it can get hot in between shops, especialy if your stuck waiting outside one with a baby in a pram while your wife shops in one you dont want to go into .

I know what you mean about LBV Factory Outlets, It doesnt have a lot there, but you can bag some great bargains. I recall buying a couple of Packer NFL replica shirts for $8 each a few years back in VF Factory Outlets, and ive gotten some good deals in the Reebok shop there. That place is worth visiting, but maybe only just for an hour or so in an evening.

another vote for the premium outlet malls from me, loved the cosmetics shop, the skechers store, ralph lauren, adidas and reebok, toy store and perfumerie princess:

We like the Premium Outlet, as it has both Disney & Universal outlets. We also go to Belz to check out Character Warehouse, as we love a Disney bargain ;)

This year we visited Festival Bay for the first time, although a lot of shops are still to open we thought it was worth a visit. We tried some ice cream at cold Stone Creamery, which was delicious :goodvibes

As we hadn't too long we skipped Florida Mall this year, but called briefly at LBV outlet mall and wished we hadn't!
Our shopping trip wouldn't be complete without a trip to Michaels, to stock up on craft supplies:flower:

Yet another vote for the Premium Outlet Mall - I can't wait to get back to their cosmetics store to stock up on more Estee Lauder make-up!!

We visited the Florida Mall briefly on our last trip as well, which seemed to have masses of shops. I went specifically for Victoria's Secret - that place is awesome!! ;)

Thanks everyone, looks as if I’ll be heading off to the Premium Outlet – you can’t beat a bit of retail therapy on holiday! I just hope my credit card can withhold the strain, (or my husband for that matter!)

Where is Michaels? I enjoy making greetings cards, do they stock materials for card making? I've also heard Wal Mart sell craft stuff is that correct?

Thanks again,
Ali

Michaels does sell card making materials:flower: , both my daughter and I love making cards, and found plenty of new things ;) Walmart does sell craft items, but the selection varied from store to store.

We visited two Michael's stores, but the best one was on S.Kirkman Rd near International drive, think it was at a junction near Wet n Wild. (If you do a search the site has maps of all stores in the Orlando area)

Hi Ali

I loved the Florida Mall for shopping and the food court is really nice. :)

Victoria's Secret will do some serious damage to your credit card if you like pretty underwear, l also loved Potterybarn (home furnishings).

Check out the sweet shop near the Food Court, l think its called Dylans. They have a chocolate fountain in the entrance that you can drip strawberries, marshmallows etc into it!! Yum!! Kids have a ball in there, mine did!

for card stuff there is a place in altimore springs but its an hours drive from disney there is a great shopping mall there there is a Michaels there as well DW hits the card shops while i do the tool shops and kids do the electronics shops only why we can bribe them to go shopping and make there shops the last to visit For friskers stuf walmart seams to be the cheapest

Michaels is a fantastic store, it is massive and just chock a block full of craft things, well worth a visit if you are interested in any sort of crafts. I know it is on the way to Belz.

The Florida Mall is always worth a visit. There's a great selection of shops their and bargains galore.

Whilst I like the Florida Mall, I have to say I was pretty impressed with Mall at Millenia, which I visited last year.
I do like how you can get a free lunch by keeping on walking round the food court in the Florida Mall though :-)

Hi
I checked out Michaels website, looks as if they have a comprehensive range - thanks for the recommendation.
I’m still not quite decided which outlet to visit – did someone mention a chocolate fountain?!!!!

You could try the mall at Millenia, it is a bit like the florida mall but larger, and go into the Hollister co. shop if you go, its sooo cool, ull understand what I mean if u go.

Another vote for mall of mallenia and the hollister store!!! If you dont have time to visit why not check out hollister on line before you go and have the items shipped to your room - thats what we done last trip just incase the store did not have them in stock!

Premium outlets are great for bargins - I got timberland boots there last trip for £26 and they were £119 in the duty free store at Gatwick!! :teeth:

tartangirl - yes that is just how I feel too!! The holiday just isn't long enough to fit everything in. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
