I've seen tons of info on medications for seasickness through numerous threads. I thought it would be interesting (not to mention informative) to take a poll on which medications people took and how it worked.

Thanks for your input.

I doubt they care...

I have been on 6 cruises... my first, I got extremely sea sick the first day, all we had was dramine, and I got soo sleeply... would NOT recommend that...

A friend tried patches via Doc's suggest, and still got sick...

My opinion... Bonine...

We did Bermuda, when hurrican Kyle was 'circling' and we had 20 ft waves.... coming in...

I had been watching weather, so me and mom bought Bonine, took it a day or two before cruise started and took one everyday... we were both fine, no drowniness or anything (plenly of people DID get VERY sick on that cruise)

My suggestion is buy Bonine (like not even 3 dollars at walmart) take one the day you embark (before you start to move) and see how it goes, if you feel like you'll be fine the next day, don't take another one...

Do it like that, it's best (On my Alaska cruise 4 yrs ago, I got sick, and had nothing w/ me. I was sick all morning... fortunately, I got a fairly good stomach)

REMEMBER... it's not how well you do in a 'boat' i.e your speed boat in a lake...

it's the body of water, length your on it at a time... etc.. that determines if you might get sick...

('sea' days, you might wanna take something too...)

Is this your first cruise? I wish I'd had this info on mine, cuz I missed the teen program the first night, and stuff from being sick and sleeply...

Don't take any chances.
