Which rooms have the best view at WLV?

Next month we'll be enjoying our 2nd stay at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. I'm just curious, which rooms have the better views? Just want to know which ones to "ask" for when we check-in. Our first stay we had "lake" view, but it was on the ground level & all we saw was the WLV pool & trees. Not exactly a great view. Plus the walkway was right outside our porch so it didn't feel like a ton of privacy. I'm just wondering if any of you have had any great views and/or rooms you'd like to share. Thanks.

You don't say what size room you will have, but when we stayed there last time, we had a 2BR right above the fitness center. It was quiet, had views of the Hidden Springs pool and beyond, and wasn't too close to the elevator. I think the number was 2035 or something like that. Keep in mind, that I don't think any of the rooms in VWL have tremendous views except perhaps those at the very top. The trees obstruct most of what one sees. But, anything off the bottom level is likely better than having folks walk right by your veranda. aw:

We own DVC points at VWL. The lake/pool views are the best in my opinion. Some of the top floors have cathedral ceilings by the way. Part of the villas the 4th floor is top and then another section has 5 floors (so top floor could be 4 or 5 depending on where you're at). We had a two bedroom 4th floor last winter (which was facing the bus stop) and it had a cathedral ceiling in the master bedroom. It was gorgeous.

If I were you, I'd go ahead and make a request on your reservation before you arrive - just in case they preassign your room and don't give you a choice at check-in. The earlier you arrive, the better your chances are to have your requests met. Also, don't ask for a certain room number because if that room is not available, Disney will have no way of knowing what you are wanting. We always put smoking/nonsmoking and what view we prefer. Some people request close to elevator.
