What rides have an overhead harness or other safety belt that would go over your chest? Are there any rides to avoid after having breast surgery?

Rock 'n Roller Coaster at DHS

Edited to add: Oops... missed that it was already mentioned.

Depending on where you are in your recovery, I would avoid RnRC. Not only does it have a shoulder harness, but it's a launch roller coaster. Every time I've ridden it, the launch compresses the shoulder harness even tighter. This makes a snug fit even tighter. I wouldn't even attempt to ride it until I was at least 8 weeks post surgery.

I would add Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (DHS). There's no overhead harness, but the multiple, sudden long drops would put lots of strain on your chest muscles and your newly healing incisions. It might be very painful for you.

Now I'm also thinking of rides like Star Tours (DHS) and Dinosaur (AK), where the ride vehicle moves violently up and down, and side to side. They are very rough, and the violent shaking might hurt. Add also the Kilimanjaro Safari in AK. Those buses ride over some very rough roads and you could be sore.

I guess a lot of it depends on you, how you are feeling post-surgery.

Thanks for the info. I'm having reduction surgery and will be 8 weeks into recovery when I visit WDW.

I have had reduction surgery and recovery time was really quick. If its eight weeks after surgery then throw on a sports bra and you should be good to go. :thumbsup2

Would love to hear about your experience. Please PM me. :)

Stitch isn't over the chest though and it just touches your shoulders and moves back up a little.

A little? I actually found this ride to be super uncomfortable with the whole jumping around. I wouldn't recommend it..

Yes some people have issues with Stitch in general, but I was just commenting that the harness does not come down over the chest.
