Ok, so I really have 2 questions here. The week after Thanksgiving will be our DDs first trip to Disneyworld, and our first time back since our honeymoon. First question....at the time, youngest DD will be 19mos. I know she can't ride the height req rides, but are there any other rides you wouldn't take a child that age on? I think she'll do ok on Haunted Mansion..shes the brave one..but for example, on Pirates theres a little drop. Not sure how still she'll sit. Any suggestions?

Second question, my other DD will be 4yo then, and wants to (so far) try Splash Mtn, BTMRR. Are there any of the height req rides (the 40 inch ones) that you wouldnt take a child that age on? I dont think she'll be ready for TOT yet, but anything else?

Thanks!

When we went last Oct. DD was not quite 1 and DS was 3.5, obviously there are rides with height requirements, so those are out. But we did pretty much everything else that appealed to DS. DD sat on my lap for pirates, the drop is pretty small IMO, for the HM, DS sat between DH and I while DD was asleep on my shoulder (above the lap bar). This time we're going to have to split up on HM, DD (who will be 18mo) will sit next to me on the seat while DS and DH go in a separate car. As long as there isn't a lap bar, we held our daughter (and will again on the next trip), when there is a lap bar we'll just sit her in the seat next to us. :)

I held my son who was 11 months on Piartes. He did just fine.He actually fell asleep before the ride was over.
If they are over 1 year they can ride the Speedway but I wouldn't let my son on at that age.Sometimes people ram you at the end and I think my son would flip over that.
I didn't take him on the teacups but now that I think about it he would have been fine as long as we didn't spin them.
As for you older child...I would just let them be your guide. When my son was 2 he begged to ride the huge flume ride at Busch Gardens. My stomach was in knots the entire ride because I was waiting for him to get scared. He loved it!

My daring 4yo did everything she could. BTMRR was her favorite. Splash broke down so we never got to go on. She also loved TT. We had an "incident" at MGM & left the park after only seeing VotLM (try to shield their eyes when you leave rides/shows that exit you into a gift shop!!! :rotfl: ) so she never got to try TOT but she wanted to! She liked the thrill rides & was actually more nervous on the dark rides (she wore glow necklaces during the day for the dark rides). She did ok on Snow White & HM but I could tell she was scared!! She HATED the 3D & was very scared so she watched Philharmagic without the glasses!
She LOVED EPCOT. She is in to arts & crafts so she loved doing the passport & making the mask at the kidcot stations.
The 1yo was along for the ride & did everything w/o a ht requirement. She was a breeze, easier then the 4yo!!! The only thing that scared her were the non human characters! ::MickeyMo

Thanks everyone for the replies. I think we'll try 4yo on everything she wants minus TOT, cuz I don't think she'll be ready for that. As for 1yo..same for her minus height req rides of course. She's a pretty easy baby, so hopefully will stay that way. Thanks again!
