Tying to pick fastpasses and do not want to waste any on rides that might be too intense. I plan on taking Dramamine every day just in case. Has this helped anyone? I know space mountain is one of them, but I am determined to go on that one What rides should I steer clear of? I also have a slight case of claustrophobia and I heard that mission space would be one to avoid. Any other rides that people are prone to motion sickness or claustrophobia that I should stay away from?

Do NOT go on Mission Space - either version. Even the non-spinning "green" version can cause claustrophobia.

I have a relatively strong stomach. The only ride in all 4 parks that bothers me even a little bit is Tower of Terror. I'm ok after one ride but if you made me get right back on a second time there could be trouble.

The only ride at wdw that has ever made me feel a little motion sick now that l'm getting old is the teacups. My DH gets motion sick easily and no ride at wdw has ever made him sick. I feel claustrophobia in a room packed full of people but mission space didn't bother me, in fact a super busy day at mk is worse for me.

For me it was the backwards part of EE. Didn't enjoy any of the ride after that.
I don't like the kids rides that spin (Dumbo, Magic Carpets, triceratops) but can manage those for the kids. But I won't be doing EE again. I only have done the Orange side of mission space (back when there wasn't a green side) and that got me really good. I had to sit for awhile. I'm going to try the green for DS next trip. Wish me luck.

The only ride that makes me sick is Star Tours. The rest of my family loves that ride. I gladly sit on the benches and wait for them!

Agree completely, I regretted riding it for most of the day.

I don't know if this counts as motion sickness, but I might avoid Dinosaur at AK because it is very turbulent; I found the movement to be too uncomfortable. Also, there are speakers on the cars right near where your head would rest and the volume is way too loud.

I'll third that one. Even on the non-spinning version, I was white as a sheet and pouring sweat when I walked off MS. The CMs in the gift shop wanted to call medics for me, but I declined. I should've agreed. I was horribly sick and miserable for several hours afterward. I now take meclizine (generic bonine) for a week prior to vacation, as well as during.

I also avoid the teacups and Star Tours.

Star Tours gets me if I eat first. No problem at all if I go on an empty stomach. I can eat 15 minutes after the ride no problem. I made the mistake of eating breakfast an hour before I rode and I felt awful for hours. I also got a bit queasy on Kali River Rapids, there was a part where I thought we were on the teacups, luckily it only lasted a minute, any longer and I would have been ill.

Well Mission Space has barf bags on it - so if Disney is spending money on them, I would bet that would be the one that causes the most.;)
Tea Cups and Star Tours I cannot do.
The backwards part on EE gets to me a little.
I skip R&R because the upside down thing messes with my old self.
Rollercoasters (Space Mountain, Splash, BTMRR) don't bother me at all.
ToT scares:eek: me like crazy, but no sickness.

I agree with avoiding Mission Space. Star Wars and Space Mountain also made me feel a little icky for a bit. The backwards part of EE turned my stomach a little, but I recovered from that one pretty quick.

Space mountain may not make you sick, but you may get a headache and neck pain from the jarring motion. I ran from that ride to the nearest store to but advil.

Also, what make one person sick may not make another person sick.

Mission space, also notice a bit of motion sickness toward the end of the soarin video as the video is speeding down the city streets.

I love the orange side of Mission Space, but I can NOT handle the teacups or Star Tours!

Several of you have referenced "EE". What is that?

Our 11 year old got sick on a ride at the fair this year, so I think she will be a little cautious about what she might be willing to ride at Disney. Last time we were there, she was 4, so this will be a completely different trip for us.

Mad Tea Party is the only ride in The World I cannot tolerate. I can ride Mission Space, motion simulator rides and everything else Disney has all day but the tea cups (and all the similar midway rides they are based on) leave me nauseous with a nasty headache the rest of the day.

Expedition Everest.

For me it's Star Tours. I don't know that it is about it because I ride all the other thrill rides at Disney but Star Tours always makes me queasy.
