Which ride is tamer?

7DMT. Its newer, has really fun cars. One fast, smooth drop.
BTMRR has more small drops, more air time, overall a faster coaster.
Both are still fun, but different.

I’m very scared of coasters...the drops!! I have ridden both and 7DMT has at least one drop that’s bigger than any on BTMRR. In fact I barely notice any type of drop on BTMRR, although it is much more jerky. I will ride BTMRR without fear, but rarely ride 7DMT unless on a trip with lots of family. Don’t want to be the party pooper, but FORGET Everest, RnRC, TOT...NEVER!

7DMT is tamer. It’s a very smooth ride. Big Thunder isn’t intense, but I feel like I get bounced around a lot on that one. I find it uncomfortable (but not scary).

Been thinking about this for my Mum as she's not a fast ride fan. She's been on BTMR a few times and always finds it quite rough in terms of getting shaken around (although not as bad as the Disneyland version before they updated the track!) but has never been on 7DMT. The thing with 7DMT is that it's two short spurts of a coaster. Time-wise, most of the ride is taken up by the dark-ride portion inside the mines. So while the bits of coaster either side are perhaps more intense in design than BTMR, they're so short that I think it's a tamer ride overall.

7 Dwarfs is super tame. When it was over we both looked at each other like, "that was it?".

This! The only reason to wait more than 20 minutes for this ride is for the theming as others have mentioned or if you have a very young child that does not like rollercoasters.

Thanks for all the information everyone! Sounds like this is the one I should really ride. I'm hoping if I ride 7DMT then I'll try BTMR. Everyone looks like they're having so much fun on these that I wish I wasn't scared. My husband doesn't like 'coasters either but he said he will go with me. He's not so much scared as he just does not like coasters. I'm the wuss.

BTMRR is basically a roller coaster, which I like. SDMT is smooth, but it swings and I have motion sickness. I did not do well on SDMT.

ETA: By swings, I mean it has a lot of sideways tracks, which I can't do. I can do a full on roller coaster without the spirals and sideways track, or if it is going faster. The motion of SD made me feel sick.
