I personally like Indiana Jones because of theme better but Space Mountain is definatley the one to go to if your looking for thrill! But Indiana Jones has to be my favorite

GUH! Don't make me choose! How awful! :rotfl:

I would say that my favorite part of Indy is actually the atmosphere in the line!! LOVE the 20's style music playing in the jungle, and the temple off in the distance, the traps you can set off... everything!

I'd have to say Space Mountain though.... just by a HAIR! I am a science fiction nut, so just standing in line gives me goosebumps! The actual ride, the music, the atmosphere while you ride... all of it is amazing. All around my favorite i think.

But both are absolutely mind blowing!

Thats Because they both have a little bit of DisneyMagic

They do!! I also quite enjoy Big Thunder Mountain Railroad & Matterhorn. Both to me have a lot of that "magic" factor!

I remember visiting DL as a kid right after Indy opened up! It was unlike anything I had ever ridden! And I still truly feel like those darts are real!

Same here the snake in indy always scares me

I enjoy them both I think I like space mountain a smidge more. I love the darkness and the whole theme of it.

SM is one of the few roller coasters I like going on but indiana I like a lot better.

♥♥♥ SM....IJ is way too jerky for me and I always end up with a backache after coming off that ride:worried:

Really I would have thought with all the twists and turns on sm that, that one would be wy more jerky than IJ

Why the need to choose? I enjoy both. I don't worry about which is better, since I don't care and am sure no one else cares which I prefer, either :rotfl:

I care because Im trying to decide wheather to do a project on Indiana Jones or Space Mountain and right now Space Mountain is winning

What kind of project? You may be able to find more info on Indy since it opened much more recently than Space Mountain. I know there are construction photos and such on the Internet. On the other hand, Space Mountain was completely rebuilt more recently than Indy, and there was the Rockin' Rockit (?) overlay, the Ghost Galaxy overlay, etc. I think for a project, though, Indy might be more interesting.

Which ride I LIKE better, I'd have to say Space Mountain, hands down. I could ride it ten times in a row and I'd be happy. I always come off grinning. People sometimes clap at the end, and there's a reason.

Now, which ride IS better, is harder to say. (For example, I would never argue that the Fantasmic! soundtrack is BETTER than Beethoven, but I LIKE the Fantasmic! soundtrack better.) But as far as what's objectively better, I'd have to say Indy if every effect is working perfectly, the jeeps aren't backed up, etc. The queue actually improves the ride too, and while I'm glad I don't have to wait 2 hours to ride it anymore, Fastpass detracts from the queue. Yes, I realize you CAN stop and admire the atmosphere, but it gets a bit awkward with everyone wanting to push by you. Anyway, with Indy's current state, I think I'd still say Space Mountain is a touch better. (I think Indy beats Ghost Galaxy, though.)

I love both, but I have to say that Space Mountain is my all-time favorite ride at DLR. I love the music during the ride and the uniqueness of the ride itself. That feeling of flying at high speeds through space is just too awesome. That being said, if either one if these rides were closed for refurbishment at a time when I had a trip to DLR planned, I would choose another time to go.

Trying but not coming up with a project that requires this information?

It depends on exactly what you are looking for. I grew up going to Disney World so I had the opportunity to go on Space Mountain a lot more. For Disneyland, I would have to give it to Indiana Jones, for that reason!

I have to go with Indiana Jones. It has theming that rocks along with the great thrills in the ride. Space Mountain does have thrills, but I think the storyline is lacking to create a truly spectacular mood like Indie.
