Which restaurants are you curious to try, based on reviews, photos, passing by, etc...

For counter service, I have been interested in trying:
-Columbia Harbour House. I've been wanting to try their infamous tuna sandwich.
-Pizza Planet. I know it's standard WDW pizza, which I don't love but don't mind. I'm a big fan of Toy Story though & that's why I want to check it out.

For table service, I've been interested in checking out:
-San Angel Inn. I've always thought it was so pretty when I've passed by it on my way to the ride. I LOVE the Mexico pavilion as well.
-1900 Park Fare for dinner. The strawberry soup sounds yummy & the characters sound hilarious!!
-Tony's Town Square. We haven't decided yet on lunch or dinner. I love Lady & the Tramp & I love Main St. in MK though, so I'm pretty interested in this place.

I know most of these get mediocre reviews for food, but I guess I'm more interested in theming this time. & as long as the restaurant offers something plain & simple (even if it's from the kids menu), I'll be fine. I appreciate yummy treats, but I'm definitely not a foodie.

How about you guys? What's on your list for future trips?

We are trying Tutto for dinner, Boma for breakfast and The Wave for dinner this year. We're also going back to Sci-Fi for lunch which we haven't done in about eight years.

We've done about just every counter service there is except hte pizza ones and we don't do pizza at Disney or in Florida--YUK!

we have tried most of the TS restaurants but this year will be the first time we try Spoodles, Grand Floridian Cafe, Tutto Italia

For us it is:

CS meals:
- Flame Tree BBQ in AK - my family loves BBQ so it is an obvious choice
- Pecos Bills at MK - have seen pics of the differrent foods on the "Food Porn" Thread and fell in love with it....plus they have a fixin' bar :lovestruc
- Main Street Bakery for Breakfast - don't know why we have never stopped, I guess because we were always too busy to get to our favorite rides and to the FP kiosks.

TS Meals:
- R&C at Epcot - always wanted to try their fish and chips
- Tony's Town Square - Love the movie Lady and the Tramp and love Italian Food
- Donald's Safari Breakfast - Heard many good things about this character meal
- Cape May Breakfast - same as above, plus I know the girls will love to see Goofy and the gang in their beach outfits
- Kona Cafe - We did eat here for breakfast on our last trip, however we liked it so much then that we wanted to try it for dinner...I am really excited about this one :goodvibes

Got The Wave today, too! Can't wait!
I agree about pizza. Grew up in Chicago. Don't waste my time in FL!:lmao:

:goodvibes Another Chicagoan weighing in... (and I totally agree about the pizza!)

This trip we are trying Kona for breakfast for the first time, as I have been ogling the Tonga Toast for a couple of years now!

I think that's the only place we are trying out on our upcoming trip that we haven't been to before. We are very much creatures of habit and by the time we book all the places we want to revisit, there just isn't much room for more food! :rotfl:

Also on my list are:
Columbia Harbour House, Tony's Town Square, Flame Tree Barbecue, Citricos, CA Grill (can you believe that on our first couple of trips several years ago we cancelled this place twice without even a thought?!:scared1: ). I'd also like to eat at the Morocco TS and there are several restaurants in the resorts that we have yet to try.

Slowly but surely, we are getting there!

Le Cellier - I always call ASAP to get the ressie and end up either changing or cancelling it, so I've never been.
Jiko - It looks amazing and gets great reviews, but AKL is so out of the way that I've never gotten there. Eventually we'll stay there and I'll be sure to try it then.
Rose & Crown - Trying it for the first time in May.'
Garden View Tea - Not on the dining plan so we never seem to manage to fit it in because our dining schedule is plenty full with DxDDP meals. When we use up our leftover park days from May, we'll try it.

There are only a couple Disney TS that I have no desire to try eventually. We've tried a lot of different places already and although our must-do list is growing, we're trying quite a few more on the next trip or two.

Oh, trying LC, too, but I could only get lunch. Wanted to try TTS but it was booked. Would love to try Kona's tonga toast but don't want to use a dp credit on it.
I thought about Tutto bc I love Italian, but, again, I can get good Italian and didn't want to be dissappointed.

New restaurants we plan on trying out this trip:

Jiko -- always heard good things about it and we're staying at AKL this time.

Chefs de France -- friends have suggested we try it and we finally will!

Kona Cafe -- read so many good reviews about it and we're staying at the Poly.

T-Rex -- considering it for the atmosphere more than the food.

50s Prime Time Cafe -- friends have raved about this place and said we must try it out, so we will.

Le Cellier -- read so many reviews and cancelled our ADR last time.

Tutto Italia -- we love Italian food and the photos look good.:)

New for our trip in June is.......

Teppan Edo (although, we had been to Teppanyaki)
Spoodles (sounds yummy & different)
Raglan Road (taking the teens, so I hope they'll enjoy the band)
Narcoosee's (my birthday dinner)
Plaza (heard great reviews)

We want to try the restaurants in Germany and Norway next trip.

A surprise on our last trip was the Plaza restaurant. They had really good food here. Esp. the french fries.

The meatloaf at 50's Primetime cafe is the best I have ever had. The atmosphere is also nice there.

We did Tutto Italia on our last trip and it wasn't too bad but not great either. Better than Tonys or Mama Melrose though.

Our entire trip in September will be firsts (except for two. Le Cellier and Narcoossees) We'll be on the DxDP so trying out a lot.

Breakfast:
Boma's - We'll do this a couple of times for convenience and to get rid of TS credits

Lunches:
Coral Reef - Bad reviews but want to try it for myself
Yak & Yeti - new since we were there last
Teppan Edo - DH's choice. I'm not looking forward to as we do teppan at home
The Wave - new since we were there last

Dinners:
Jiko - at our "home" resort
Cali Grille - reviews sound wonderful
Yachtsmans - Love me some steak!
Flying Fish - gotta try that wrapped snapper
Citrico's - sounds romantic

and we'll throw in a few counter services for good measure.
 Can't wait to eat at all these places. I hope our stomachs can handle it all!

We also will be trying the Columbia Harbour House for the first time. I can't believe that we never ate there before.

The second place that I want to try is Narcoossee's. We're hoping to get Free Dining so I have to decide if we use 2 TS credits to eat there or do we pay out of pocket, going later in our stay when we are not on the DDP.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

TS
Big River Grille
Garden Grille
Sci-fi Dine-in theater

CS
Flame Tree BBQ
Cosmic Rays-I've been there every time that I can remember-can't stop now!

DH and I will be trying alot of firsts since we will be on the DxDDP in October without the kids.

We are trying:

Cali Grille
Narcoossee's
Marrakesh
Ohana (dinner)
Whispering Canyon Cafe (lunch)

there will also be some other that I'm not too sure of yet. We'll see what we can agree on...or what I can talk him into! :)

We want to try the new restaurant at the AKV : Sanaa

It opens in May..........

Maria

I'd like to try that one but I'm too nervous about the fish to go there when DH is along (he allergic and has had reactions from eating at places that use the same fryer oil for fish as for other menu items), so I keep meaning to try it on a trip he's not with us for and then I invariably forget. :rotfl:

On our May trip, we've got a lot of repeats either because they're must-dos for someone or because my mom hasn't tried them and would like to. Our first this trip are:

Kona breakfast (we've been there for dinner)
Ohana dinner (we've been there for breakfast)
Restaurant Marrakesh
Hollywood Brown Derby
Yak & Yeti
Rose & Crown
Trails End (breakfast and possibly lunch)

Ooohhh There were pictures of the food at Sanaa somewhere on this board. It looks so good. Thinking of swapping Yak & Yeti for this one.

This year, if we get the ADRS, we are going to try the following for the first time:

TS
Chef Mickeys (breakfast)
Crystal Palace (breakfast)
Hoop Dee Doo Review
Germany (dinner)
Plaza (dinner)
Tony's (dinner)

CS
I'd like to try either Yak & Yetti or Flame tree for lunch - not sure which
