Which restaurant screams, "Welcome to Disney!"

Chef Mickey's gets my "welcome to Disney World" vote. (Not my favorite food vote, but you're there for the atmosphere/characters more than the food.)

Though I'd also say that dinner at 1900 Park Faire would rock most kids' socks. Especially if you have princess-lovers in your family. We took my little guy when he was maybe 2 1/2 and he got all starry-eyed at meeting the REAL Cinderella. (This was before his princesses-are-to-be-avoided-at-all-costs phase.) The food at 1900 Park Faire is better than Chef Mickey's, in my experience. And meeting Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella was a real highlight. Great character interactions are possible there. :)

There are a lot of other great places to go across the Disney resort, but I'd definitely choose one of those for a welcome-to-Disney vibe. :)

As most have said Chef Mickey's is the only place where you will get the fab 5 and not go in a park. Its a lot of fun.

For the prior posts that say T Rex: This isn't even a Disney restaurant its Landry's there is nothing Disney about it. I ate there once I thought it was overpriced and loud, not going back. I do like Rainforest Café so I am not totally biased.
