We stayed at CB last December and we're now trying All Star Movies out in September. Other than that, we haven't seen any other resort other than Grand Floridian. Which other resorts do you think are just cool to see? Do any of them offer any activites other than the water activities? I haven't seen any listed, but figured I'd ask. Thanks!!

We really liked visiting AKL and WL. Very pretty and scenic, even. And AKL for the savannah, too, can't forget that. Poly is great with the longhouses and the pool and the beach on Seven Seas Lagoon. But my attraction to the Poly is more about the atmosphere than what I'm looking at, if that makes sense.

For our Dec trip, we're planning on hitting GF, WL, AKL, BC, and SSR.

Not sure what you mean by activities. GF has the pirate cruise and teas and stuff, SSR has a spa, nice gym and tennis courts. Poly has boat rentals.

the polyn - love the outside here

WL - love that lobby, also the pool it starts in the lobby and goes down, down to the pool...

I also enjoy the landscaping at PO...hey I even enjoy the landscaping at Pop...

you can only rental the boats - maybe bikes (not sure) but I think you can.

you can always eat and shop at any WDW resorts.

AKL - again the inside and outside - they have animals....

If you go over to the Boardwalk you can visit 5 resorts alone (Swan, Dolphin, Boardwalk, Yacht, and Beach Club). Plus, from there you can walk to Epcot, MGM, and Fantasia Mini Golf. Or take the boat to MGM or Epcot.

If you go and get on the monorail you can do 3 (Contemporary, Poly, Grand), however, you could get off at Magic Kingdom and take the boat over to the Wilderness Lodge. You can also take the boat to FW.

You could catch a bus to Port Orleans and ride the boat down the Sassagoula River to the Disney Marketplace. By doing this you can see the French Quarter, and the Mansions and Alligator Bayou buildings at Riverside. Once at the Marketplace you can either catch a boat to OKW or to Saratoga. You can also walk to Saratoga.

We love going to see other resorts! It's fun to dream of our next trip and where we would like to stay.

I would recommend the Cont and the Poly. Cont is cool with Chef Mickeys, love the food and fun center, like the slide at the pool, decor is fun to look at, love the shops plus having the monorail come through while shopping is cool too, plus I like being a walk away from MK and you can take a boat to FW for bike riding, canoeing, petting zoo, or to just look around. I just like the feel of Poly, since I have never been to Hawaii I use the Poly as a substitue. But really I don't think you can go wrong staying at any of them. My dream is one day to have stayed at all the resorts.

I would suggest the WL and AKL. At AKL we walked around the pool area and just watched the animals. This year I want to revisit the AKL for zebra domes (I've seen way too many pictures on the food thread) and let my DD2 see the animals. The lobby at the WL is just awesome!!! You can wander down to the pool area and maybe see the geyser erupt. By visiting the WL, you can also have a nice boat ride. Have a great time

How early does the boat start? Would it be possible to get to PO, get beignets, catch the boat to DTD and still make a 9:30 Bibbidi ADR?

no, the boat ride is fun not fast. It takes about 30 minutes from PO to DD.

are you sure that your appointment is at 9:30 - that is early.. I didn't think most of the stuff on DD opened upon until 10:00....

maybe that is why it seems so much more crowded to me....I am arriving too late.

Contemporary: relax in the Outer Rim lounge while watching the monorail soar by overhead... play in the huge arcade!

Poly: the grounds are nice, as is the lobby.

WL: you can sit in front of the huge fireplace in a rocker, or stroll around back to watch the geyser go off every hour.

AKL: lots to explore here! Great public viewing areas of the animals

Boardwalk: always nice to go for a stroll here

FW: Not really a resort, but I always enjoy coming here for an afternoon or morning (followed by a meal at Trail's End!) Definitely lots to do here!

Opps! I misread the question!

The Polynesian: We get a Lapu-Lapu from the Tambu Lounge and wander the resort. The beach is very relaxing.

Wilderness Lodge: The resort is very nice and the guyser is pretty cool.

AKL: Animals. Enough said.

Fort Wilderness: The petting zoo is nice and my DD likes riding the ponies. We usually have lunch at the Trail's End buffet.

On our next trip this June, I will be visiting Coronado and Wilderness Lodge. I am dying to stay at either one of these.

On our last trip, we went to the Beach Club and Boardwalk. Beach Club has an amazing pool area and is great during the daytime. Go by Beaches & Cream. Boardwalk was awesome at nighttime. They had a street magician out there that was really good and he cracked up my DW. Both resorts are beautiful at night actually with a great view of Spaceship Earth and Illuminations. It just seems there is more to do at night over at Boardwalk than the Beach Club.
