We are about ready to book our first WDW trip for Oct. 2012. We are a family of 5 and thought we had about decided on POR. I guess we sort of assumed all "resort" type hotels would have a gym and/or fitness center, but I'm not seeing it listed with the POR. Does the POR have a gym, fitness center, or at least access to one somewhere? If not, which resorts (Value, moderate, or Deluxe) has a gym or fitness center and has rooms for a family of 5?

All the Deluxe Resorts with the exception of the Polynesian have a Gym, however their guests are allowed to use the one at the Grand Floridian.

The Csr if your looking for a moderate.

The CSR doesn't offer rooms for 5 persons though does it?

No, it does not; you'd have to get two rooms or a junior suite.

Will you have a rental car? You can use the gyms at other resorts for a small fee.

Yes, we will be driving rather than flying beings it is relatively close (considering the distance others travel to WDW) and much cheaper than flying a family of five.

How does it work using a fitness center at another facility? What does the small fee typically average per day or week?

I believe it is between $12 and $15 for a day. As for how it works, I'm not sure as I've never done it. Hopefully, someone who has, can chime in.
