Which Resorts Has A Lazy River

None have a lazy river. BC has Stormalong Bay which is probably the closest thing to a water-park-type pool area.

stormalong bay does have a short lazy river, slow moving

both water parks, blizzard beach and typhoon lagoon, have long lazy rivers that run along the parameter

My favorite part of the river section in Stormalong Bay is that the depth is up to 8 ft. You never see public pools that deep anymore. Loved it! :thumbsup2

The Sassagoula River running alongside Port Orleans is pretty lazy...
;)

Same exact, very rare find-awesome.

That eight foot depth on the lazy river actually is one reason we avoid that resort now. I usually walk along side my DD9 who will be floating in her tube. Nothing like suddenly finding that it is a bit deeper than I am tall.

I would have to say no Disney resort, there are lazy rivers at the water parks.

SAB at the Yacht and Beach has a small section that is very deep, 8 ft. and swift current. Not very lazy though and not very big, even though people float in it, not very relaxing as it gets congested quickly.

You need to be a good swimmer for the deep section-it also keeps a lot of swimmers away. We rarely notice many swimmers there.

This video shows a dad and daughter with an underwater camera. The dad goes way under at the end (right at 3 minutes) to get a good idea of the depth. Its a much different experience than you can find anywhere on property-and likely off property as well.

A great escape for strong swimmers.:wizard:

Agree! The depth makes me nervous with so many kids around. My dd(7) is not allowed in there without DH or me.

We are currently staying at the Beach Club and we were disappointed by the fact that they charge by the hour to rent the floats for the lazy river, at ~$400 a night they couold at least throw them in for free.....

I think thats so the individual will be responsible for that tube, use it/hang on to it/keep it at thier chair/return it etc. I would hate to see a bunch of tubes laying all over the place and I doubt they want them just floating everywhere-esp in the deep area where the lifegaurd needs to have a clear view to the bottom as much as possible. If they just hand them out, the kids just abandon them after a while.
