Which Disney resorts are NOT in Orange County? I did verify with 2 different Disney Cast Members that as long as your Package was paid in full by Aug 1st for arrivals after Sept 1 you would NOT be subject to the tax increase. Both read it from a disclosure they had received. Want to verify if everyone else is receiving the same info.

Most of the resorts are in Orange County. There seems to be some confusion about paid in full packages. The Disney computers have been updated the reservations. I would call again and see if your total has changed.

AKL is in Osceola County, and i would imagine that the AS, And Coronado are as well. Since they are so close.

I have been told the opposite. They have no choice (unless Disney wants to make the payment for you), they must increase the tax. I have been receiving updated faxed reservations daily with the following note on the bottom:
"Orange County recently adopted a tax increase effective September 1, 2006. Our rates have been adjusted for reservations with arrival dates of September 1, 2006 and thereafter due to this increase in local tax and other costs. Therefore you package price has been adjusted"

I have no idea why it says “and other costs” it appears just to be the tax. I have been getting these for a few days now and they seem to be at the beginning of November 06

Remember the increase is not on the whole package just the hotel portion

Coronado is in Orange County...

I believe AKL and All Stars are the only resorts that are in Osceola, all the others are in Orange

All Stars are the only one with the different tax rate. AKL is 11.5% going to 12.5%.

Part of my stay is at CR, and my total has not changed, nor is there any other amount due at this time (although I understand that can certainly change). I'm traveling in September and paid in full before August 1.
